Meiling lost her mother when she was young. In the spring of 2023, on her 16th birthday, a lonely girl came to see her. The girl turns out to be her mother Yoko, also sixteen years old.
Yoko explains that she was chosen as a girl to perform a sowing ceremony in the Eternal Kingdom, where the gods live, and invites Misuzu to join her on the journey starting in 1996.
The sowing ceremony is the funeral ceremony of the gods and is necessary to usher in a new generation of immortals and gods. The Seed Maidens must travel across the Eternal Realm and make the Elder Gods accept their deaths before the true winter comes and taints the land.
Accompanied by her mother Yoko, Misuzu traveled to the year 2050, and her own 16-year-old daughter Tsumugi joined them on their journey to the eternal kingdom.
With the addition of Hiruko, who claims to be Misuzu’s brother and serves as their guide, the foursome’s journey through the lush landscape becomes equally glorious as real winter approaches.
A group of young people miraculously come together, but what awaits them at the end of the journey?
