“Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club” announced to be released on August 29
For the past week or two, Nintendo has been teasing a new game featuring a character named Emilio. Isn’t it Emilio? Emio? correct. Emio. There was a lot of speculation, with some people thinking it was a Bloober Team game and getting angry at what they imagined. Well, it turns out we got a new one Famicom Detective Club Game, “Metroid” from Yoshio Sakamoto’s team. The last new entry in this series was about… thirty years ago, so that’s pretty cool. Still cool? It’s out next month! Available digitally and physically on August 29th. If you like Japanese adventure games, you know what to do.

Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition ($29.99)
It’s hard not to compare it to Famicom mix On Wii U and 3DS, but let’s give it a try. The game gives you 150 mini-challenges for 13 different NES games, all of which challenge you to perform a certain task as quickly as possible. It’s a party-style event for up to 8 local players, and you can certainly have some fun with the weekly challenges. Confusingly, aside from the weekly events, there are no online leaderboards. We’ll be reviewing this early next week if you need more details.
Him($24.99)
A gesture is obviously the soul and spirit of an object, and you’re playing an object that’s unfortunately separated from its humans. You need to get back to him as soon as possible because if you don’t, bad things will happen. The problem is, you have to move around the environment, jumping from one shadow to another. Things move, and so do their shadows, so there seems to be an element of time involved. Looks like fun, but I haven’t had a chance to play it yet.
Satlin DX ($6.99)
It’s a twin-stick shooter that’s clearly inspired by more than just Robot 2084but I don’t see Robot 2084 Anywhere around here, so I say pay your respects. There are twelve different enemy types, nine power-ups, a few hazards, and even a nice online leaderboard. Another great arcade game from publisher Flynns Arcade that I’m really looking forward to digging into for a review.
Yes! You want “those games,” right?
An interesting companion piece Nintendo World Championship: NES Edition, to say the least. The smart idea behind the first one was enough to sell it to a lot of people (including me), so we now have a second round. You get 250 levels spread across five types of mini-games, which will look very familiar to those who watch mobile ads. One way is that you pull the pin out and the gold or something falls out! This is a back runner with math in your face! This is an isometric game where you have to fight enemies and pick up items in the correct order to get more! and more! Plus: online rankings! Almost everyone has them today. almost. Do I need to review it? I shall.
Over the Horizon X Iron Empire ($14.99)
The Ratalaika Brown Bag wrapper is back at it again, this time covering three of Hot-B’s shooters. You get an impressive (and rare) horizontal shooter for the NES over the horizonGenesis/Mega Drive Iron Empireas well as the Game Boy Advance port Iron Empire. The usual options found in the Ratalaika re-release are here, but I’ll have to invest more time in the game to see if the usual baffling bugs are present as well. These are all interesting games, I prefer MD Iron Empire The remastered version has been released on Switch. Yes, I will review.
Arcade Files Football Champions ($7.99)
this week in Arcade Archives, we learn about Taito’s popular views on football. You know, if this was last week’s game, it probably would have sold more. Euros and so on. Regardless, this is a game released in 1990, so it’s removed from the early days of arcade sports games when people were still trying to figure things out. It works just like you’d expect, and can be fun if you have others locally to play against. solo? Probably not my pick from the hamster lineup, but you are the boss of your own wallet.
EGGCONSOLE Seilane PC-8801mkIISR ($6.49)
This is a bold move. If you think role playing games Egg control The lines have been difficult to navigate due to the language barrier caused by unlocalized Japanese, so wait until you try this adventure game. Yes, this is a game that deals entirely with words in a language you may not understand. But the pictures are good. I might comment on this out of observance of tradition, but seriously…if you can’t read Japanese, don’t bother. The minus is that the publisher carefully removed all Japanese text from the North American eShop screenshots.
Epyx Thief($7.99)
Oh, great. This is where I can joke rogue It is a roguelike game. My guess is that this is the Commodore 64 version of the Epyx version of Rogue. It has actual graphics instead of letters and symbols, but it’s an approximation of the real thing. Well, what really happened at the time. Pixel Games UK bypasses keyboard-intensive gameplay by providing a convenient control wheel. I’m going to take a closer look at this because it checks too many of my personal boxes to do anything else.
Rivalia: Dungeon Guide ($14.99)
Control four characters and, would you believe it, they attack some dungeons. You might think there would be a multiplayer option here, but that’s not the case. You simply control all four characters. Six procedurally generated levels spread across three different biomes. It’s been released on other platforms for a few years now, and the overall consensus seems to be that its performance is middling. Functional but not very exciting. But maybe that’s what you’re after today, I don’t know.
Come on ($19.99)
This is a party game for up to 4 players, so you can play however you want. online? Yes. Local multiplayer on one system? you bet! Local wireless? nature. So what are you doing? No matter what goes wrong, try to keep your spaceship operational. This will require a lot of messing around and dealing with sudden disruptions. Well, if you’ve actually been following the Switch for a while, you’ll know how this sort of thing happens. Maybe you need a new party game like this.
Bō: Path of the Cyan Lotus ($19.99)
It’s a gorgeous Metroidvania-style game whose development team includes at least one person with AM2Rmade by fans Metroid II The remake has moved on to the next galaxy. Early word is that the game is pretty good, if perhaps a little too orthodox, but I’m sure our friend Mikhail is reviewing it and there should be some official TouchArcade input soon.
Jelly ($13.99)
I feel like the name might be a trademarked term, but whatever. Forget it, Jack. This is an electronics store. Anyway, we have another solid-based platformer here, and this time you take on the role of a little slime. Non-routine exercise is a daily activity where you stretch and push yourself to move around. I haven’t played with this yet, so I’ll leave it there for now.
Gravity Hustler ($13.99)
A puzzle platformer that promises gravity cheating and delivers on it. Guide your robot to the goal, collecting all the goodies you can along the way. Let me get to the point. If you remember the last puzzle game on PlayStation 1 called kula world or Get away, you’ll find that the game works very similarly. It’s an intentional homage to that game, so if you’ve been craving some kind of follow-up, this is probably the closest you’ll get.
Ancient Illusion($14.99)
Here’s another KEMCO RPG in the mobile catalog, this time from Magitec ancient vision. I’m not a big fan of this particular developer’s game, but this might be the break from the regular EXE-Create games some of you need.
Zombie Derby 2 ($4.99)
A thrilling continuation Zombie Derby I know the saga you’ve been waiting for.
I want to eat umaibo! ($9.99)
I mean, me too. I should go get some. I like the cheese flavor, but sometimes the teriyaki burger flavor is good too. For those of you who may not know, Umaibo is a very cheap salty snack brand from Japan. They come in a variety of flavors, and since they cost around ten cents each, they are enjoyed by people of all ages and social status. The game seems almost as cheap, throwing the brand’s mascot onto an automatic treadmill. In addition to the exciting action, you also get an encyclopedia of all kinds of Umaibo information. Japanese. have fun!
Throw it away! Dinosaur Panic ($3.99)
What you have is basically a dinosaur version of the coin bulldozer. For some of you, this might be fun and worth your four bucks.
