- During the year-end live performance, MIYAVI announced the launch of its first album in three years amid warm cheers from the audience. The album, titled “Lost In Love, Found In Pain,” will be split into two parts and is themed around “duality.” The release date of the first “Lost In Love” has been confirmed as April 3rd.
- On the sound production side, it will be produced in collaboration with long-time music-making partner Lenny Skolnik and involve various producers and collaborators in Los Angeles. On the visual side, Darren Craig, known for his work with A$AP Ferg and Justin Timberlake, was invited to explore new means of expression. Stay tuned for music and visuals to be released soon.
- In addition, the first pre-release single from the album, “Broken Fantasy / Tragedy Of Us”, will be available to stream online starting on February 4, 2024. His unique guitar playing, coupled with his captivating vocal style, reveal new aspects of his artistry. In contrast, “Tragedy Of Us” is a mid-tempo tune that combines scattered guitar licks, dramatic development throughout the song, and narrative vocal delivery.

MIYAVI is a guitarist who has gained worldwide attention for his unconventional “slap guitar” style, in which he plays the electric guitar with his fingers instead of a pick. He has performed more than 380 live performances in 30 countries and has conducted 9 successful world tours. Other accomplishments include performing the national anthem at Dodger Stadium in the United States, performing the opening act at the National Stadium during the Paris Saint-Germain soccer team’s visit to Japan, and providing music and halftime performances for the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.
In addition to his musical pursuits, MIYAVI made his Hollywood debut in the Angelina Jolie film Unbreakable. He also appeared on the runway at Paris Fashion Week as a model for Yohji Yamamoto and Y-3, and was the first Japanese to appear in a GUCCI global series of ads. In recent years, he has also been actively involved in advertising campaigns for companies such as Dell and McLaren. In 2017, he became the first Japanese to be appointed as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
In November 2022, he announced the formation of the band “The Last Rockstars” with YOSHIKI, HYDE and SUGIZO. As a “Samurai Guitarist”, he continues to accept new challenges and is one of the most promising Japanese artists active on the international stage.
