Actor Kevin Conroy passed away in 2022, ending his 30-year career as the definitive voice of Batman. From Batman: The Animated Series and its spin-offs, to animated features and video games, Conroy’s portrayal of the Dark Knight is a fan favorite. Unfortunately, fans feel that Conroy’s Batman didn’t get his due in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. But now Conroy’s iconic hero is getting the send-off he deserves.
According to Games Radar, Conroy last played Batman in Warner Bros. Animation’s latest film “Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3.” While his Batman doesn’t play a major role in the movie, there’s a scene that takes place in his Earth-based Gotham City where he faces the apocalypse alongside his nemesis the Joker. If these were Conroy’s last words as Batman, it would be the perfect way for him to leave the character he redefined for a generation.
What a better way to end Conroy’s run as Batman. I love the conversation here and I miss Kevin so much 💔 pic.twitter.com/2qpd15eVGQ

Fittingly, Conroy’s long-time Joker Mark Hamill also lent his voice to the scene. Hamill’s Joker often starred opposite Conroy’s Dark Knight, including in the Batman: Arkham trilogy. However, Hamill said he is no longer playing the Joker because he doesn’t want to perform for any other Batman than Conroy.
“Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 3” is now available on digital, and will be released on Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD on July 23.
