We’re closer than ever to the release of Black Ops 6. The Black Ops 6 beta launched alongside the game in June, but today, we got a solid date and some new information.
As the first Call of Duty game to be released on Game Pass, members who subscribe to the service can also receive additional rewards during the beta version.

As you might expect, the Black Ops 6 beta will launch over two weekends. The first weekend is the longest, starting from Friday, August 30 to Wednesday, September 4. The first weekend is available by pre-ordering the game, but interestingly, it’s also available to Game Pass members.
Unlike Sony’s exclusive deal with Call of Duty in past years, the Black Ops 6 beta will launch simultaneously on all platforms. As for Game Pass, the beta will be available to Ultimate, Game Pass PC and console subscribers. This covers all tiers currently, but given the recent significant changes to Game Pass benefits and its price increase, these distinctions will be necessary in the future.
The second weekend of the Black Ops 6 beta is open to everyone, no pre-order or Game Pass membership required. However, it is shorter, starting from Friday 6th September to Monday 9th September.
The beta begins two days after Call of Duty: Next on August 28.
We didn’t get any details on the number of maps or the types of modes available during the test. However, Activision did say that the beta version includes new maps and multiple modes. As always, you’ll be able to create your own loadouts and play with friends. Players who pre-order the Vault version of the game will be able to use any of the operators included in the beta, and will also have access to five weapons from the same bundle.
More details, such as beta rewards and beta content, will be announced closer to the beta launch – possibly during Call of Duty: The Next Step. Black Ops 6 will launch on October 26th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
