You won’t believe this. An apparent screenshot of a BioShock game currently in development has leaked online, and assuming it’s real, it tells us one thing we’ve been hoping to know about the game. This is a video game.
Yes, look at this image, which MP1ST claims was unearthed from the work of a visual effects artist working for publisher 2K, and you can clearly see that BioShock 4 (reportedly codenamed “Parkside”) ”) might qualify as one of those gadgets we all love to play with a controller, mouse and keyboard, or dance mat.

In it, the player holds a gun known as a “bounce shotgun” and looks directly at some kind of glowing sphere mounted on a stand. Maybe they’re considering doing it for some reason, or maybe the player happened to be pointed at a normal light when the screenshot was taken, and everyone would be really excited about what you might buy for your back garden if you were Andrew Ryan .
Oh, and the words “Parkside Demo” appear near the bottom of the screen, which matches the project’s codename cited in Kotaku’s 2019 report.
Other than that, there’s just the user interface, which has a health bar and what looks like some plasmid abilities that can be cycled in the bottom corner. Perhaps the only thing worth noting is that one of the abilities appears to be time-based, and has an hourglass icon in the left corner next to the health bar. Is Bioshock 4 actually just some very unorthodox-looking DLC for Hades 2? we do not know.
MP1ST claims that the screenshot is from a 2021 showcase and depicts an early version of the game, which means it’s likely several years out of date, so it’s probably not worth drawing any major conclusions in terms of what to expect whenever the game comes out of Rapture The game will appear when appearing from a basement in , or from a basement in any other possible location. Like we said, on top of that, it’s a video game.
While the next BioShock was announced back in 2019 to be in development at 2K Cloud Chamber, it hasn’t been given an official name yet, so we don’t know if it will end up being called BioShock 4 or BioShock 4》 and other names.
Series creator Ken Levine is not involved as he is busy working on Ghost Story Games’ Judas, a game that looks a lot like BioShock.
