boys Over the past four seasons, television has featured absurd antics that have cruelled, disgusted, and made viewers laugh. But now that the show has a definite ending, some cast members feel it should wrap up its story in a big way. What’s more important than movies?
Actors Laz Alonso (“Breast’s Milk”) and Antony Starr (“Homelander”) discuss how the show got the chance to be adapted into a movie in an interview with Josh Horowitz. Alonso said he pitched the idea to founder Eric Kripke several times over the years without much success. His approach? “Making the season five finale a cliffhanger and announcing the movie we’ve been filming since the series began,” he said. If he had his way, this future movie would also be a big dramatic movie, which was enough for Starr to get behind the idea. Kripke managed to sidestep the idea, but Alonso told viewers to tweet the idea to the showrunners to show support.

Many TV shows jump into movies, usually to continue the show’s story or as some kind of epilogue or final ending. it’s not impossible boys It would be a nice flexibility to get the movie treatment since it’s so popular and end up with Prime Video saying its superhero shows can rival the big leagues. It also brings things full circle, as the show almost becomes a trilogy of films. But Alonso’s dream hit a few snags: Last year, Amazon partnered with director Doug Liman to make it happen. Roadhouse It skipped theaters for a streaming release. Exceptions are always possible, but Amazon probably doesn’t want to take that kind of gamble with one of its big franchises… or at least not without seeing audience reaction The Mandalorian and Grogu First.
