Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade roundup for July 11, 2024. Ace Combat 7! Bee Rabbit! Princess Art 2! parasol star! Dingding pit? We’ve summarized everything worth summarizing, then scrolled to the usual list of the day’s new and upcoming sales. Let’s start the game!
Select new version
Ace Combat 7: Skies Uncharted Deluxe Edition ($59.99)
Oh hey, a real Namco game that recently launched on Switch, without a license. This doesn’t happen often. This is a port of a pretty good game released in 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. I’m not sure how well it translates, but I’ll give it a try and see how it goes. But yeah, if you’re looking for fighter jet combat and lots of dramatic storytelling, you really can’t go wrong Ace Combat game.
Muv-Luv/Muv-Luv Alternative Remastered Double Pack ($64.99)
everything muffseverything like. This gets you all Bee Rabbit All the crazy glory of the saga in one beautiful package. This visual novel series starts off as a fairly average romantic comedy, but ends up becoming something very different and much more interesting in the first included game. These games can also be purchased individually, but really, if you get any of these, you’re going to want the whole thing. It’s a beloved part of the visual novel canon, and if you love the genre but haven’t played it yet, it’s well worth delving into.
Parasol Star – The Story of Bubble Bobble III ($9.99)
This is the third game of the season Bubble Bobble series! No, not that. no no That There is also one. this other The third! The one on the TurboGrafx-16! Bring an umbrella! This is a good game. I think this is better than rainbow islandsbut not as good as Bubble Bobble. The entire continent disagrees with me. Well, now you can find out for yourself. This is a very typical Ratalaika wrapping paper version, but we did a little work to make it feel less like a regular brown paper bag. I’ll review this soon, but if you already know how you feel parasol staryou can probably figure out the rest of the equation yourself.
“Pretty Girls 2” Reborn ($39.99)
A remake of the popular 1993 parenting simulation game. It also features a new opening animation by Yonago-Gainax, so that’s nice. However, at its heart, this is still a classic game that captured the attention of many players at the time. Do your best to raise your daughter so that she grows into a good, upright, happy adult. Done poorly… well, a lot of things can go wrong. I’ll be reviewing that soon as well, so stay tuned if you want more details.
EGGCONSOLE Popful Mail PC-8801mkIISR ($6.49)
Wow! full of mail! I think most of us in the English-speaking world know this game from the SEGA-CD version (if at all), and unfortunately, if you just saw the words “”, I have to ask you to put Slow train speed.full of mail” and then ran to the store.like everyone else Egg control version, the game text here is the same as the text in the original Japanese version, that is, it is in Japanese. There’s quite a bit of text here. This is also the original PC-8801 version of the game, while the SEGA-CD version is more of an enhanced port with a lot of features you won’t find here. I’ll be reviewing it early next week to give you an idea of Total Slimming, but if you can’t read Japanese, please think carefully before buying.
Arcade Archives Tinkle Pit ($7.99)
This is a nice ambiguity. Namco released the game in 1993 to celebrate the company’s history in video games. It’s a maze game where you try to defeat enemies, and all you have to do is…well, you know those vacuum cleaners with retractable ropes? You press the button and Whoosh, the rope flies in at the speed of sound? Imagine a game where you use it to attack enemies, that’s Dingding pit. It’s funny, and the name has been making me giggle for about thirty years.
Ogre Story ($19.99)
You know, when I think of The Mage, I tend to think of visual novels. Of course, this isn’t a harrowing action RPG. But that’s more or less it. It’s been out on PC for a few years now, and I think the general reception to it has been “meh.” It is something.
Night Reverie ($14.99)
One of those mystery adventure games that’s a little weird. You are a child wandering through his twisted, dreamy house. Talk to various characters, collect items, solve puzzles and explore. If you think you can handle the facts, try to find out what exactly happened. Jack Nicholson thinks you can’t. Prove him wrong.
Moonlight Company ($19.99)
We’ve seen several brewing sims over the years, and here’s one dedicated to practicing moonshine brewing. A little extra spice since it’s not technically legal. Build your base, craft your moonshine with recipes of your choice, and more. Reviews are a bit soft on PC, but I think if you’re interested enough in the subject, you might overlook some of the flaws.
Prunes and Milo ($10.49)
It is a turn-based puzzle game with seventy-eight levels to play and two different characters to play. That’s okay, but it does feel more like a five-dollar game than a ten-dollar game. I leave it to you and your wallet.
Sunshine Scream($6.99)
A fairly affordable visual novel with multiple endings and some choices to make along the way. The story sees the protagonist move from a big city to a small town and almost immediately become embroiled in all kinds of drama. I’ll spend the seven dollars on Bee Rabbit As far as visual novels go today, but you are you.
Gluck($6.99)
If you like excavation games, you’ll probably like Gluck. You try to restore the water supply by exploring the underground, but in order to do this you must pretend to be a miner. This means doing actual mining, collecting and selling ore to upgrade your equipment and allow you to progress further. We’ve seen a lot of these games, but not enough to be unpopular.
Let’s take aim! Shooting Range($5.00)
Continuing its holiday theme with recent releases, SAT-BOX today launched a shooting gallery game for up to 4 players. It’s pretty solid in the mini-game camp, so don’t expect much longevity or variety from it. For just five bucks, though, you can bring some quick fun to your gaming party.

(North American e-store, US prices)
There’s a big indie game promotion going on in Japan right now, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some spillover when I talk to you again. Now we have a nice little list of things like Under Lily, Rainbow Moonand Great goal! 2 on top. There’s also a pretty big list in the outbox that I think you’ll want to double-check just to be on the safe side. Do what we do!
