The Daily Roundup you’re listening to is part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for watching this Friday’s show. Good thing for you. You’re going to talk more about Jen’s season and what I was thinking about last night about spoilers.
Our Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars start dates are coming up in September and then if you saw my social media yesterday, I started teasing podcast number 400 next Thursday and Clayton Eckerd is on there There are four clips we’re going to listen to and just in case you haven’t heard them on social media, we’re going to play them for you on today’s podcast and we’ll cover them all right away.
So to kick things off again, if you didn’t see the YouTube video I made on Wednesday night breaking down the trailer for Jen’s season, be sure to check out my YouTube page. Reality. Steve goes there. It’s titled “Jane the Bachelor” Season Trailer Breakdown. You can’t miss it. I’ve put the flux capacitor shirt on in the thumbnail.
It just breaks down everything you see in the four-minute trailer. Except for one minute during Monday night’s final rose ceremony where Jenny started the episode at the altar. Then there’s a conversation she has with Jesse, which is the day of the final rose ceremony, but apparently before she gets to the altar.
It then shows her in the hallway, walking down the corridor of the hotel, knocking on the door and opening it. That was from Seattle. So it has nothing to do with anything going on in Hawaii. And then the final four minutes break down all the scenes you saw there. But, you know, one of the things I said, one of the things that confused me was that we showed in the trailer six people sitting on a group date after a party in New Zealand.
Two of those six were Spencer and Dylan. The other four were Jeremy, Marcus, Devin and Sam M. clear footage of him kissing her on the radio show during a group date.
So Spencer and Dylan are Seattle’s seventh man. You know, I was on that particular YouTube show and said, Hey, I think it’s, I think it’s Spencer, because. So far, he’s had one-on-one interactions. Like if she ditched Spencer and Episode Five in New Zealand and took Dylan to Seattle, but then didn’t, not even give him a one-on-one date, you’d be like, what’s the point?
you know? At least you could justify taking Spencer to Seattle. He had a one-on-one date. You gotta get Dylan out there, not give him the last one. Of the seven guys you brought to Seattle, six of them went one-on-one and then you gave Marcus a second one-on-one before you gave Dylan any one-on-ones, it doesn’t make any sense to me.
But then I thought about the barber shop guy. Here’s what I reported when they were in Seattle in April. I said, I got an email from someone who said he saw people in Seattle getting haircuts the day they arrived, but he said he only knew four of them. He said there were maybe seven or eight people there.
Well, only four. I mean, sorry, there were seven, but he only recognized four. I said, can you go to my Instagram and tell me which four do you know? Marcus, Jeremy, Jonathan Hess and John Mitchell, he said. It was okay at the time, you know, we were still filming and I had no idea who was being eliminated at that point.
The ISI said, look, this is not Jonathan Hess. He didn’t even make the cut. He is not in the cast this year. Could it be Sam McKinney? He said, oh, yeah, that guy I saw had tattoos. I said, okay. So he fucked up Sam McKinney and thought he was Jonathan Hess, but. Now you have to see this. He said he saw John Mitchell there.
John Mitchell, a tall black man. Dylan Bucker, very tall black man. He apparently confused Dylan with John Mitchell because John Mitchell never made it to Seattle.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, you know the seventh man is either Spencer or Dylan Buck. They look nothing alike. Last time I checked, you know what I’m talking about? So, and. If we pass by, if we pass by people of color, if we pass by Seattle. In Seattle, we have Spencer, Sam McKinney, Devin, Jeremy, Marcus.
Well, I’m talking about Spencer. I don’t know about Spencer. The six we know are Devin, Jeremy, Marcus, Jonathan, Grant and Sam McKinney. Well, the only people of color in it are Jonathan and Grant. And then Marcus, he said, he saw Dylan Buck, either Dylan or Spencer. Something went wrong too.
He just didn’t know what he was looking at or what. But that’s why I thought, okay, wait a minute. If we were to take this guy, he just mixed up two black men. Then Dylan arrived in Seattle, but not Spencer, who was dropped in New Zealand. But that’s my point. Although he may have been mistaken, he was indeed talking about John Mitchell.
That’s a 6’4″ black man. Did he really see a 6-foot-4 black man and think it was Spencer? Or end up being Spencer? Like, I, I’m confused. But that’s why I never mentioned it when I heard the news. When I said, hey, someone told me they notified, they recognized the four guys there. But I don’t know.
I don’t know what this guy knows. He was obviously not a fan of the show and he contacted me and said, these are people I know. Well, he’s already screwed up who Sam McKinney is. He confused him with Jonathan Hess. So I don’t want to throw out there what he said about Jonathan Mitchell at the time, which is ultimately wrong.
So I stuck with it and said nothing was right. It’s all a bit weird, to be honest. Long story short, I don’t know who made it to Seattle between Spencer and Dylan because I don’t know how much to invest in this guy’s eyes. You know, how could I, I don’t know what he saw yesterday when he was talking about The Bachelorette, I forgot to mention the fact that we have an official start date for a possible TCA to happen or upfront, sorry, Preliminary work took place in May.
We found out Joan was our Bachelorette and they said it would air in September. Like, okay, but they never gave us a date. Okay, now we know that TCA is where we were in Beverly Hills the other day. We were given an official start date. It’s Wednesday, September 18th. Now, one thing they did mention in May was that The Bachelorette would be airing on Wednesdays.
So it’s not news that it’s airing on Wednesday because they just don’t want to compete with Monday Night Football. The same goes for Dancing with the Stars. We confirmed their start date yesterday and will start the day before. Starting on Tuesday the 17th, Dancing with the Stars will now take place on Tuesdays.
So they won’t compete with Monday Night Football. Neither is The Bachelorette, but The Bachelorette is heading for a night we’re not used to. Then again, Gary was on Thursday, wasn’t he? This resulted in high ratings. So it looks like this works for them. It all depends on the stories of men they tell.
You know, is there a connection? I think it will do well. I don’t know if it will be as good as Gary’s Season, but I expect The Bachelorette to do well. But actually, this was on Wednesday night and now they’re starting on the 18th, mark what I said. If you watch all 10 episodes of GenSeason starting on July 8th (last Monday when the episode begins) and play 10 Mondays, the finale will be on September 9th.
Unless they double any week, it’s September 2nd. But September 2nd is Labor Day. There’s no way they’re going to host the Bachelorette finale on Labor Day. I can tell you right now. If anything, they are not. You know, the episodes that usually air before a hometown date.
They’ll definitely let it all out over the Labor Day holiday. Because they don’t, people won’t listen to the full tell anyway, and the full tell is usually terrible. So I could see this being the penultimate episode and then the finale airing on September 9th, but we don’t know that yet. They haven’t given a date for Jen’s finale, but there will be 10 episodes.
So I guess another thing also comes into play. It’s the Olympics, but I, I don’t think they’re going to take two weeks off to have the Olympics, you know, the Olympics are on NBC and Peacock. So they don’t need this channel. I’m just saying, just go against that show, but I don’t think they care.
They’re going to, it looks like they’re going to have 10 weeks of The Bachelorette and we’re going to have the finale on September 9th, but I haven’t heard anything yet. So when I finished the 10 Mondays ending September 9th, I thought, okay, The Bachelorette, we know it’s going to be on Wednesday. Probably starting on September 11th, Wednesday the 11th.
You’d think it would start the same week as Jen’s season ends, but we’re told it’s the 18th. The following Wednesday. So maybe somehow, Jen’s season ends on September 16th. We don’t know yet, but we’ll keep you updated. Obviously when we hear that news I’ll let you know when we have a final date for Jen’s season.
but. We know how many episodes there are, you know, six. Seattle is episode six. Talk about episode seven overnight. Oh, sorry. Episode 7 of “Hometown”. Episode eight tonight. Everything will be revealed in the finale of episode nine to episode ten. You cannot add a new week.
Every episode is, you know, a new rose ceremony, you know, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven. Every season is simple. so. I’m not sure how they’re going to do that, but if you chart 10 episodes starting on July 8th, you’ll see the finale on September 9th, and The Bachelorette starts on Wednesday, September 18th.
