money in bank Generally a solid show wwe In terms of stakes and mayhem, this year’s installment is no different. This year is the second time it is held outside the United States MIT Broadcast from Toronto, Canada, nominally hosted by WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.
Drew McIntyre def. Andrade, Cameron Hayes, Chad Gable, Jey Uso and L.A. Knight: This men’s Money In The Bank ladder match was a great way to kick things off, especially between the two “emotional favorites” Jey Uso and LA Knight , and McIntyre’s plot to cash out his bonus early. Some major (and sometimes illogical) attractions give everyone a chance. McIntyre took the briefcase, creating a real air of uncertainty for the World Heavyweight Championship later in the show.
Sami Zayn Brown Breaker: It was a solid match, but unusually for a Sami Zayn match, I felt the storytelling in the ring could have been stronger. Considering Breakker’s performance on the main roster so far, I think we might see him make an overzealous mistake, which the savvy Zayn (sorry) will exploit. That said, this is still Breaker’s best match to date, and with Zayn being a scrappy underdog who’s probably just starting to get tired of being underestimated, that’s a good way forward.
Excerpt – John Heenan announces impending retirement: Combined with his attendance at the post-performance press conference, John Cena’s performance was very exciting. Without going into too much speculation, the timing of this announcement and Cena’s plans for a full or full wrestling schedule in 2025 appear to be in the cards for WWE. Netflix Debut.
As Cena mentioned in the press conference, we’re used to seeing wrestlers forced to retire due to injury or have their careers peter out due to opportunities in other areas. Honestly, it’s refreshing that he decided to implement an intentional retirement plan and marked it so clearly. There’s no doubt that Cena and WWE’s approach was inspired at least in part by: prickExcellent execution of the final run early warning aircraft.
When asked about the possibility of one last run, Cena’s response emphasized that his retirement run would be about bringing his true self to the product. In a narrative era dominated by metatextual narratives, he was at the right time. Cena’s heel role is a hard sell, especially when he’s clearly in a very zen state and feels so comfortable in his role as a WWE ambassador.
Damian Priestdef. Seth “Damn” Rollins and Drew McIntyre: First up is Seth Rollins. Coming back from injury and finding this incredible form in his first game back A reminder of why Rollins has been the MVP on the WWE men’s roster for nearly a decade. Rollins looked great in the white outfit he usually wears for important occasions. His movements are both effortless and powerful, while refreshing everything with a new series of moves and sequences. It’s shocking to see him back so soon, but it’s great to have this generational talent back in the fold.
Just like his game against McKinnit last month Castle Clash, another good outing for the pastor. It took him and Rollins a few minutes to find a rhythm, but once they did, their dynamic was lively and full of potential. Trading Broken Arrow and Falcon Arrow is a great opportunity for PLE.
An aside on health and safety: After priest becomes tangled in rope castle clash Also with his weird tumble/whisper in the wind against Rollins, I really don’t want to see Priest try to fly just yet. If he decides to stay on his feet in the big match at all, something like The Undertaker’s somersault clothesline might be a safer bet (in the ring, not a dive!). Even better, all Priest can do is use his karate background to really adjust the “educated foot” angle. His kicking motion is safe and he looks really, really good.
The production blunder before Drew McIntyre cashed in clearly shook Priest and Rollins, but they recovered well and the blunder did somehow enhance the chaos. Sense – Chaos will break out with the arrival of a particularly hateful CM Punk. Rollins eventually turned his attention to Punk, drawing inspiration from earlier in the year and deftly adding another dimension to the World Heavyweight Championship picture. Excellent in every aspect.
For Punk, it’s difficult to overstate the value he brings to the product without being an active competitor. His character work has always been his strongest point, but the creativity he and McIntrye inspire in each other, and the way they continue to increase the intensity of their performances, is a real treat. When they finally lock in, I hope there will be a dog collar competition atmosphere.
Tiffany stratton def. Chelsea Green, Iyo Skye, Lyla Valkyrie, Naomi and Zoe Stark:Speaking of chaos, this ladder match is absolutely insane. Some brilliant creative touches, a real sense of drama and contention, and some great character moments. Like Andrade and Carmelo Hayes in the men’s ladder match, it feels like Iyo Sky and Naomi might just be here to do something cool, but definitely not win. For viewers, though, their spot is well worth it.
It’s great to see Chelsea Green picking up the briefcase here, as she’s starting to gain some real momentum as of late. The recognition she received when she won the qualifier felt like a real sign of change. Hopefully she’ll get the chance to build on this. But in the end, putting the briefcase on Stratton was the obvious and smartest choice – the briefcase is a great tool for preparing a performer for a championship and Send a signal to your audience to keep them engaged on the journey.
Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga won. Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton: This has been a huge positive since PLE WrestleMania XL Rotating the lineup means not every star has to be at every big show. Some think this might be a slightly different conversation than Cody Rhodes being the so-called “face of WWE,” but this could be a show that gives him a break. This has no shadow on him MIT performance, but it feels too early to run Cody vs. Bloodline 2.0.
This six-man group did have the vibe of a house show for the most part, although Owens did bring the required intensity to the match. The match picked up in the final ten minutes or so as the chaos escalated and admittedly ended the match on a very strong note and elevated Sikoa to a contender, but it was a bit of an odd match to have on this show s Choice.
take a bow: three months later WrestleMania XLWWE’s big shows were fully booked and the overall performance was fantastic. My biggest complaint at this stage is the distribution of airtime between the male and female rosters. Liv Morgandefense Zelina Vega Might appear on this show, for example. With the summer majors coming up, we should at least expect Morgan and Baileyand doubles champion dawn island and Alba Farley
All in all, despite the problems with the selection of the main lineup, this year’s money in bank It’s an exciting show with clear stakes, practical results, but also a lot of chaos – both planned and accidental.
