Latin American Hotel Construction Pipeline has many new meetings and motivational groups to choose from.
Businesses thrived around the world: At the end of Q1 2025, the total number of hotel building channels in Latin America grew 18%, while the room grew 11% year-on-year. Among them, Mexico has the largest number – 254 projects and 39,163 rooms.
The following new hotels focused on the group’s business spans all the different experiences the region has to offer, from mountain resorts located in the extinct crater of Panama to Marriott’s first all-inclusive property in Cancun.
1. AVA Resort Cancun

Cancun, Mexico
Opened in October 2024, the all-inclusive AVA resort Cancun offers 1,600 rooms with private terrace and sea views. It has 90,000 square feet of event space, including two large banquet halls, the largest of which is over 53,000 square feet. The resort also offers 17 dining options, a large spa, six pools, a water park, bowling, golf and Ava Bay, 2.8 acres of artificial saltwater lagoon for water activities.
2. LaCompañia Del Valle
Valle de Anton, Panama
La Compañia del Valle is a Tuscan-style mountain resort located in an extinct crater and offers 70 rooms. The luxury property is part of the Unbound Collection at Hyatt, offering 4,704 square feet of indoor meeting space in three rooms. The property also offers a unique outdoor plaza that can accommodate 80 guests. Other highlights include a large spa, a salt water pool, Roman bathroom, aromatherapy steam room and enjoying views of the Domitas Hills in India.
3. Hyatt Regent Panama City

Panama City
Opened in February 2025, the Hyatt Regent in the city’s financial district offers 25,000 square feet of activity space on two towers. Facilities include a Regent Ballroom with 450 guests, drama style, 12 meeting rooms, an outdoor terrace and a broadcast lounge for mixed events. The hotel has 382 rooms and suites, four dining options and a 24-hour fitness center.
4. JW Marriott Wanda All Inclusive Costa Rica / w All Inclusive Costa Rica Women
Costa Rican women, Mexico
The Marriott Hotel will open two all-inclusive resorts in Costa Mujeres, Mexico in 2026. All-inclusive Costa Mujeres will feature 300 rooms, 5 restaurants, multiple bars and lounges, and 9,000 square feet of event space. Both properties will be connected to a 70,000 square foot entertainment venue.
5. Marriott Cancun, an all-inclusive resort (renovated)
Cancun, Mexico
Marriott Cancun, an all-inclusive resort that reopened in July 2024, is the Marriott Hotel’s first all-inclusive hotel with 450 redesigned rooms and nearly 25,000 square feet of renovated indoor and outdoor event space. The resort features a large banquet hall that can accommodate up to 720 people theater style. There are 12 indoor activity spaces, five outdoor activity spaces, 13 dining options, a water park and a fitness center.
6. Nekajui, Ritz-Carlton Reserve Peninsula

Papagayo, Costa Rica
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Nekajui, opened in February 2025 in Papagayo, the peninsula of Costa Rica. This 107-room resort, including three luxurious treetop tents, offers views of Bahia Hueyvos and the Pacific Ocean. Conveniences include a variety of dining experiences, multiple pools and spas. The surrounding 250 acres of palm conservation shelter has three ecosystems and offers guided wildlife hikes, ziplines and canoeing tours.
7. SLSPlaya Mujeres Cancun
Cancun, Mexico
Opened in the second half of 2024, SLS Playa Mujeres Cancun is the first all-inclusive resort of the Ennismore brand. The resort has 498 rooms and 9 flexible event spaces, including a banquet hall that can accommodate nearly 1,000 guests in the theater style. Amenities include four pools, a spa, 15 dining options, two gyms, beach access, and a variety of entertainment options for adults and children. Two miles from the resort is Playa Mujeres Ennismore Golf Club, an 18-hole PAR-72 course.
8. WSao Paulo

Sao Paulo, Brazil
Opened in January 2025, W St. Paul offers 179 rooms starting from the 25th floor of the building and offering panoramic city views. It features over 5,000 square feet of meeting space and amenities including top-floor dining, a variety of on-site restaurants, outdoor pools and wellness plans. Attendees can explore the city through the gorgeous sidewalks connecting Rua Funchal and Rua Helena.
9. Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique

Kasik Punta, Costa Rica
Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique is a brand new Oceanfront Resort, 17 miles from Liberia Airport. It offers over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space with sea views including a Yamato Junior High School banquet hall, ceremony hall, terrace and waterfront area. The property includes a spa, fitness center, multi-level pool and seven dining options.
