According to the latest Skift research, the hotel business in the Asia-Pacific region will surpass Europe in 2026.
“Asia-Pacific has surpassed Europe’s accommodation revenue during the pandemic. Europe recovers rapidly and we expect the Asia-Pacific region to surpass Europe again in 2026,” the report said.
To meet the growing demand, according to the latest Accommodation Econometrics Pipeline Trends Report, there are 2,074 projects and currently 408,213 rooms, currently in the hotel pipeline in the area.
Three new convention centers in New Zealand’s largest city: Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, the latest hotels and open venues include three new convention centers. Many new properties blend nature and wellness: Mandy Rainforest Resort in Benny Tree, Singapore Raffles Santia, India’s Jim Corbett Mariott Resort and Spa, JW Marriott Kaafu Atoll Island Island Resort in Maldives, Maldays, and Sundays at the Australian large Barry’s Barrier Reef. 1.1 Melbourne Hotel
Melbourne, Australia
Opened in May 2025, a Melbourne hotel offers 18,000 square feet of activity space with 277 rooms and seven rooms. The Central Hotel offers amenities including a gym, a swimming pool, a spa and dining. The hotel’s natural-style space offers river views and a healthy experience.
2. AnantaraJewel Bagh Jaipur
Jaipur, India
Located in the “Pink City” in the outskirts of Jaipur, Anantara Jewel Bagh Jaipur offers 150 rooms and suites, while also boasting 64,000 square feet of outdoor activity space, spanning seven venues. The hotel offers two pools, beautiful dining and a spa while providing easy access to the historical and cultural attractions of the area.

3. Fairmont, Mumbai
Mumbai, India
Art-inspired Fairmont Mumbai is a newly opened luxury hotel in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport. It offers 446 rooms and 75,000 square feet of event space, including two banquet halls, with the largest theatrical style that can accommodate 2,000 theatrical styles. The hotel offers six dining options and a modern spa that blends modern longevity therapy with Ayurvedic renewal rituals.
4. Fairmont Tokyo
Tokyo, Japan
Fairmont Tokyo, which opened in July this year, will be located on the upper floor of Shibaura Project South Tower. The luxury hotel will offer 217 rooms and multiple event spaces, including a large 10,000-square-foot banquet hall and features its own functional front foyer capable of hosting 1,200-seat guest theater style. The hotel will also offer a spa, fitness center, a swimming pool, as well as five restaurants and bars.
5. Fairmont Udaipur Palace

Expected to open sometime in 2025, Fairmont Udaipur Palace (pictured above) is a hillside property with 16 acres of city views and exclusive access to the forest reserve. It will offer over 100,000 square feet of banquet and event space, dining facilities and a spa.

Hong Kong, China
Opened in December 2024, Hopewell Hotel is now one of the largest business hotels in the Wan Chairman District, Hong Kong. Connected to the shops and offices of Hopewell Center, the property features 1,000 rooms, a fitness center, a club lounge, five dining spaces and a swimming pool. Conference facilities include two large banquet halls, two banquet halls and a special event space on the 58th floor, with 180-degree panoramic views.

8. JimCorbett Marriott Resort & Spa
Uttarakhand, India
The newly opened Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa is located in India’s first national park dedicated to the tiger reserve and has 99 rooms with views of the Malani Range and Kosi River. The resort offers four dining options, a spa with Ayurvedic treatments, a fitness center, an outdoor pool and two lawns for outdoor activities. For conferences and events, there is a column-free banquet hall that can accommodate 300 theater styles.

9. JW Marriott Hotel and Suites Saigon
Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon opened in September 2024, and Saigon is part of a new dual development. The property offers 305 rooms and 17,000 square feet of indoor event space, including a large banquet hall that can accommodate 900 guests in theatre style. On-site facilities include four dining options, a fitness center, a spa and an overhead outdoor pool.

The recently opened JW Marriott Kaafu Atoll Island Resort is located in Kaafu Atoll’s largest lagoon and features 80 villas with sea views with private pools, including 47 villas with pouring pools. Grand Macau Grand is a recently reopened hotel located on the Cotai Strip in the London-Macao Complex. 16. Sofitel Sydney Wentworth (renovation)

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth reopened in October 2024 after a $44 million renovation, offering 27,883 square feet of activity space at 15 venues. Located in Sydney’s Central Business District, this hotel features a historic Wentworth Banquet Hall with a capacity of up to 800. The hotel has 436 newly renovated rooms and four dining options.

The newly opened Ritz-Carlton Bangkok has 260 rooms with panoramic views of Lumpini Park. The property features nine flexible meeting and event spaces, including the Liz-Carlton Grand Ballroom, which offers nearly 15,000 square feet of space that can be divided into four spaces. On-site amenities include a spa, fitness center, swimming pool and four cooking options.

St. Regis opened in early March 2025 and is located on the west side of Shenzhen in Bao’an area. Sunday is a new boutique hotel that will open on Hamilton Island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. It is designed as a relaxing small-scale retreat that provides a set of rest and reconnection. 20. Waldorf Osaka Astoria

The newly opened Waldorf Astoria Osaka occupies the high-rise building of the new Green Osaka development, which is directly connected to the Osaka station.
