Absolute Green Lantern #1
writer: Al Ewing
artist: Jahnoy Lindsay
letter: Lucas Gattoni
and Absolute Green Lantern #1 This week, we will receive the sixth and the last announced Absolute Comic. Yes, this series ends the second wave of Absolute Universe titles, last two weeks ago Absolute flash and Absolute Mars Hunter. Given the commercial and critical success of these titles, it is not difficult to envision more ways to (Absolute Aquaman, Absolute Green Arrow, Absolute Justice Leagueetc), but for now, this is the last one in the absolute title.
This is a powerful person. One thing I enjoy with all the absolute comics is that they have a profound commitment to giving the artwork a lead. The scripts and concepts are great, and many of them take interesting risks that reconfigure the core of familiar characters, but with the storytelling on the page to the first page, all of these comics deliberately move forward. Not only that, they also leveraged some of the most interesting artists in the monthly comics ecosystem and empowered them to Nick Dragotta and Hayden Sherman, For years, they both worked on S-tier work on books owned by creators.
Absolute green lantern Hand the key (or ring (if you like)) to the artist Jahnoy Lindsay. Granted, among the artists who painted absolute comics, Lindsay was the one I was most unfamiliar with when I opened the book. Actually, I had to search to find Lindsay’s honor. But that’s not in any way. No, I had a great time and was familiar with Lindsay’s lines and This excellent first issue of the color. Have obvious comic influence Absolute green lantern Well, it’s a clear ensemble comic with a big reaction and a bigger feel to the characters. We also got an absolute (heh) experience of Hal Jordan. Lindsay shows many powerful characters through Jordan’s eyes (see the preview above for taste), which is great. After turning the page, there are no less than five huge splash moments, from two pages to the top half of one page, they all crackled with green energy, highlighting many important moments Al Ewing This comic has been introduced in scripts.
Indeed, Ewing did a great job. Ewing has been doing well in several superhero comic action for a long time, as he is writing Green Lantern, which serves him well. First, I mastered heavy genre work from high-concept science fiction (see 2015 final) Want to be horrible (see the real-time classic The Immortal Hulk). If you are a DC reader and are not familiar with Ewing’s games, there are not many writers in superhero comics, who are always as fun as Ewing. He knows how to use familiar traps to find new things about old characters, and even if it is indeed complicated, it looks easy.
Another move he was nice to him in the green light lantern was his deep commitment to the continuity of the bench. Ewing is a writer who was asked to write a comic book with a miracle video game and do this by starring in the British version of Punisher (yes, there is a British version of Punisher). wilderness. Green Lantern is a book that is suitable for both high-concept science fiction and mining.
But perhaps Ewing’s decision to make this the biggest reward is the police involved. On the first question, police and policing ideas are everywhere (see all these preview pages). Some green lanterns embraced the Galaxy Police’s idea, making Lead a space detective, while others covered the route of lonely superheroes and even soldiers. If the first question is any sign, set this run to potentially explore the meaning of policing in new and interesting ways. Just in the opening sequence, Hal Jordan ran away with the Highway Patrolman. I’m glad to see where this book leads us later.
From art to writing, I think this comic is a big ticket to superhero storytelling. New readers who hope to jump with the new #1 can use it while offering a lot to experienced audience members and faithfully enjoying DC. And, as I will discuss below, this is almost the opposite of the other major versions of this week, Introspective Literary Deflection Resurrection: Quantum Karma #1.

Resurrection: Quantum Karma #1
writer: Ram v
artist: Anand RK
Colorist: Mike Spicer
letter: Aditya Bidikar
Now it’s something completely different – Resurrection Resuming life this week (I have to do it), a new black label series Resurrection: Quantum Karma From the writer Ram v,artist Anand RKcolorist Mike Spicerand letters Aditya Bidikar. I want to write a double review this week because I think A. This title is great and you all should read it. and B. The fact that it landed in the same week Absolute green lantern Talking about the diversity of DC now.
While absolute books are full of art and tweaks to familiar superhero concepts, they are not as appropriate and nuanced as the title of the black label. Just stood out from the dark father and son redemption story Plastic man no longer (One of my favorites last year), we get here a book that originates from the classic Vertigo Comics, starting a story about the essays about life, death, war, cruelty and the essence of existence. It’s something exciting, but that’s what Black Label does. Essentially, this is a prestige movie of the absolute universe’s new blockbusters.
The artwork is amazing. Anand RK Already a star in the independent comics industry Grafted wall and Blue green. RK’s work is amazing and ethereal, capable of bounce from a sad bedside family death scene to a spiritual forest ignited by fireflies, where the protagonist has to face the essence of survival. Consistently polished, RK’s work is the best ever Resurrection. Its color has improved Mike Spicer, Who is working with an artist for the first time. Spicer is a bold choice for Colorist, but a helpful option. I usually associate his colors with loud works – Daniel Warren Johnson Wrestling comics are tenacious to perseverance John McCrea Crime Story – But he shows the same ability to do something here, which is bothersome and weird. Stunning.
The plot here is also great. It assumes the original Mickey Sherry character Resurrection Running is actually a happy ending, getting older and dying from natural causes surrounded by loved ones. But this correctly asserts that this is not the ending at all, and of course the character will be reborn as he was killed by a superhero action, many times he has in the original book. And, if that’s not enough, the writer wants us to see exactly where he is going when this happens – to the reality gear.
This Backend Journey to Reality makes the book skip time and space, telling a fascinating story in which readers share close-up views with the protagonist, bringing us into the scenes of war crimes and depravity, which is where we leave.
Again, for that, these two books this week are a great example of how DC Comics Line does many interesting and different things now. I’ve impressed it and I hope it continues, just like the lives of heroes here.

Summary
Finally, there are two full reviews this week, and I don’t have much review here, but I do want to briefly point out as part of the Batman book (do one Quiet The sequel is now, before restarting Matt score) Currently, the bat title outside is very interesting. For example, we have more than 30 questions Toxic Ivy running, Batwoman Telling a great back to the foundation Cassandra Cain story, then Two sides Getting all sorts of weirdness is telling a story that happens primarily in the mind of its main character. I think Toxic Ivy With its excellence and longevity is the standardist for the wider bat family happening now, but it may also open the door to some other books becoming more traitful and interesting.
