The comic series combinations I’ve heard boosting the gold and blue beetles are what I’ve heard since I started reading comics. For some reason, DC finally decided to launch the trigger in 2021 Blue and gold By writer (and booster creator) Dan Jurgens and artist Ryan Sook.
Obviously, this is the wrong time, as the book only lasts eight questions. (In contrast, Jurgens’ last Booster Gold series was launched in 2007 and lasted for 47 issues until it was cancelled as part of the new 52 initiative.) This means DC has to decide on the axe. Blue and gold Around the time of the first issue.
This makes the last question particularly interesting. The two characters sit around talking to their friend and partner, Terri Collins (originally Trixie) Boost Gold series). The theme is a new effort they have been working to get out of the situation, a crowdfunded personal superhero service for people who need help but can’t get Superman or Batman’s attention, but it sounds obvious they’re talking about something else.
“They believe in your mission and contributed,” Terri told all fans of the Beetle. “But to maintain such expensive operations, we need the kind of money they don’t have.”
“Good ideas like us should be supported globally!” the booster lamented. “Where is that?”
“Sometimes, good ideas die because they go beyond time or people don’t understand how to manage them,” Better said. “We gave us the best shots, boosters.”
So, what’s wrong? Honestly, it’s hard to find paperbacks (more on this later) after just reading this book, and I really don’t have any good theories.
Jurgens’ plot isn’t completely original, and I personally find it very annoying at least one aspect of it, but he obviously gets the benefits of these characters, indulges in the expected nostalgic service to fans and presents a perfectly nice superhero comic that he does the same as the 21st century mentioned earlier Boost Gold comics.
Although Ryan Sook’s art isn’t necessarily what I like (its sense of reality radiates a strange valley resonance for me), he is a talented and popular artist. Of course, he didn’t draw all of the book (he dealt with five questions and sixth), but all the guest artists were great (Cully Hamner, Phil Hester, Paul Hester, Paul Pelletier and a strategically deployed Kevin Maguire Plus Jurgens himself).
And it was good enough on the DCU, and in the first issue, the Justice League appearance at the time (that would be Brian Michael Bendis One, which I never read anything; maybe one alliance highlighted the outstanding performances of Naomi and Black Adam, not the sales of other alliances – other alliances have appeared? And connectivity to the ongoing continuity. (Although I must admit, I didn’t know that the blue beetle was reborn after his death in the 2005s Countdown to Infinite Crisis; He was resurrected through the prank of time travel Boost Gold I just forgot,,,,, Or just by DC in the new 52 and Night: Death Metal…? )
So, I guess I just assumed it was a matter of timing and that the market and fans weren’t ready for nostalgic comedy, infused comedy superhero books that contained a pair of characters most famous in decades in the Justice League series. At least, not lasting.
Jurgens launches the book with the story of Justice League neighborhood, which is perfect for most readers to associate the leader with their time in the league…and the appearance of Justice League is generally A great way to ensure a certain number of eyeballs (of course, I can check it out 1997 Resurrection #1! ).
The alliance has been defeated and is currently captured on a giant alien spacecraft, which will be with them to leave Earth orbit. A live stream of booster gold intervenes (what viewers saw on “Instaslam Live,” a lot of non-branded, numerous mentions from DCU, answering the book’s real social media), but his litigation power proved that there was no match for the ship’s defense.
With the ropes of the booster, Skeets recruited Ted Kord to help, and soon after, his Beetle-shaped ship became the scene. Together, the heroes were able to penetrate the ship, the motorcycle and the Beetle managed to crack their computers, thus saving the league.
Afterwards, Booster is sure that the league will provide them with membership (because the lineup of Hippolyta, Naomi and Black Adam for this lineup is not a crazy assumption), but when Booster stands out, they will provide membership for Beetle Only, This pair is not accepted as a packaging transaction. The Beetle descended and later told Booster that they didn’t want any of them.
As for this positive stimulation, Jurgens has included some narrative boxes in many panels, including comments on action by Booster’s social media followers, adding another very busy narrative thread to art and dialogue that makes the panel so dense that I honestly stop reading this and stop reading it throughout the book.
(Let them some Even more interestingly, the two commenters appear to be Bibbo Bibbowski, whose handle is “B-Bo”, and for some reason he spells Superman in the same way, while Guy Gardner’s handle is “GG”. Two other frequent commenters, each one of the young female superfans of lead, will appear in person at the back of the book.
After some re-tuning of the status quo, the firing from Kord Industries cut off his opportunity for technology and, more importantly, their money-partners turned to crowdfunding, thus investing in their new adventures. It’s a social media-oriented superhero business that they call “Blue and Gold Repair” (which does sound like a house repair), and it promises to easily access customers and help in areas that are often overlooked by heroes at the league level, from rescuing cats from trees to investigating haunted houses to dealing with Alien Abduction.
This may sound a bit familiar, because it’s not also A far cry from the adventures of other JLI alums Formerly known as Justice League and “I can’t believe this is not Justice League” reminiscent of Marvel’s original Hero Hiring Concept (Jurgens had reporters at press conferences), and even in the recent miniseries, Fire and Ice canceled something after it was cancelled. Blue and gold).
If this concept is interesting to you, don’t be too excited. It is mainly limited to the background of “cross-race”, which is the goal our heroes are heading for as they keep interrupting their goals in the first issue due to their failure to the alien ship. An alien princess named Omnizon came to Earth to claim it was owned by her homeland because they planted high-tech equivalent to the “flag” on it and claimed it was their own 70,000 years ago, just before any modern government formed, or before any modern government formed, or around there were any superheroes who came to oppose them.
The conflict will fill most of the first six issues, and honestly it’s not a bad miniseries, setting up a new status quo for both heroes and giving them the idea that Jurgens and other creators can launch more miniseries or anthology shorts, or make them guest stars in other books.
Joining our Hero is a personal assistant with Kord, a female voiceover floating robot named “Buggles”, which gives him his own UFO (and gives Skeets (and gives Skeets) to talk to others), and Rip Hunter builds important, even secret, even secret, if secret, if secret, i.e. (In fact, RIP basically saves the title character from Omnizon and her people, instead undermining their efficacy as superheroes.)
The highlight of these six possible minimal issues is probably the 4th issue, “spllittin’Image”, which provides the most direct shot of nostalgia. Sook dealt with the “Today” art during a live TV interview, depicting boosters and beetles.
When the subject arrives at the way they initially became friends, each of them tells their own version of the same story, shortly after the booster joined the Justice League, they were shortly after the Black Guard. Kevin Maguire is the most connected artist we now call the JLI era, drawing seven pages or so to depict the Beetle’s story version (which also includes Guy, Batman, and team shooting of the team), while Jurgens himself draws the Man who is dedicated to Booster’s version (as with the same entertaining star).
Ultimately, Guy Gardner collapsed the interview (“Set Record Time”, a social media account belonging to “GG” said before Guy appeared), and told Real In version, Batman sent him to rescue the Blue Beetle and Booster (Maguire and Jurgens assign artistic responsibilities on Guy’s version of the story).
As for the last two questions, these readers may no longer start a new arc like Jurgens and then wrap it up faster than expected, building a new status quo of the character in a more sustainable way than they are getting money from fans and/or keeping DC publishing books.
Guest artists Pelletier and Hester imposed artistic responsibilities in issue 7, while Sook Pencils are all number 8. New Blue Beetle Jamie Reyes (Blue Beetle With the latest solo champion and a live-action movie) is about to visit Blue and Gold and be attacked by a mysterious villain who turns out to be the Black Beetle, a little man from Jurgens’s most despicable villain Boost Gold The series has a mysterious connection to our heroes. This connection is revealed when he is defeated, and after a period of party time, the title character meets Terry and discusses their failures.
At the last minute, the largest back account of DC Heros saves blue and gold repairs with a considerable donation, making our hero’s free superhero service apparently beyond the pages of the book (absolutely “absolutely”) no… …Finish! Plastic manwhich seems to be an ideal commitment to future adventures, not a publisher’s commitment).
Of course, in the real world, no charity billionaires can continue to fund the work of the Jigen people, the Sok and the company, thus making the Blue and gold It didn’t last until that problem.
Regarding the reason why I read this deal in 2025, after passing the initial release of the serially published comics and deals (so as a fan of characters who didn’t buy any comics, I want to I am Part of the reason this book didn’t do it), well, I was reminded of its existence after reading it Fire and Ice: Welcome to Little Wealth Last October.
I was surprised to find that I had no copy of any transaction at all at the library consortium of the library that shared materials with Cleveland (shared by Cleveland and composed of over 40 library systems in northeast Ohio).
So I turned to my hometown library. They also have no dungeons, but the consortium them On the way to the Perrysburg Public Library, which belongs to about two hours, there is a copy. I kept it last fall and it’s OK now.
so Blue and gold Obviously, I don’t think it proves to be extremely popular in Ohio libraries.
