In today’s rapidly changing comics industry, there are two universal truths. First of all, that dog man is still the definition of our time comic. The second is that more people are reading comics and web images (also known as vertical scroll comics) than ever before. So we continue our weird adventure of beats at Comics Beat. Every week, we have three writers recommending some of our favorite books and series from Japan, Korea and elsewhere. This week we’ve already dressed up heroes, mysterious libraries, and of course, ClaudineWoolen cloth
go! go! Loser Ranger

The heroic Holy Dragon Ranger defeated the monster army in a Titanic battle. However, the wanderers still exist. These remnants and their small number of soldiers remain threatening humanity. Fortunately, the heroes always find a way to defeat them and save the day!
At least that’s what the Dragon Rangers want the public to think of. You see, they did indeed defeat the Monster Army and their super powerful leaders a long time ago. Their weekly battles are imprisoned in the weekly proposal of a new “monster”. If they don’t, the Dragon Rangers will destroy them forever. This is all a charm. That was a wonderful twist go! go! Loser Ranger go through Negi Haruba. The hero is actually the bad guy, and a bad guy named D wants to take revenge on his tormentor.
What’s exciting about this series is not only an interesting reversal, but the meaning of this reversal. Heroes, obviously being subject to long-term running heroes Super Sentinel The series not only puts the public in darkness, not only in the state of the world, but in their true nature as human beings. They may be the heroic Paragonians in costumes. But they are flawed when they are physically and psychologically.
If a bright world creates smart heroes, then a dark world will breed like D. Given years of loss of performance, D’s frustration and humiliation are obvious. He is not a good person. Watching him sneak into the Rangers’ ranks to take revenge was part of the fun. But it’s easy to sympathize with his career because it’s so just to face hypocrisy.
Haruba’s love for this genre is experienced in his outfits for goalkeepers and the designs of various monsters proposed by Dusters. He has a line of expression in the action scenes and interactions between the characters. go! go! Loser Ranger! Probably not a deconstruction of this superhero genre, but it must be a clever rethinking of it. – D. Morris
Ether Veil
Writer/Artist: millym00n
platform: Webtoon
Thanks to its algorithms, discoverability capabilities and platform spotlight, Webtoon Canvas will always be my go-to for reading new Webtoons. Today’s suggestion, Ether Veilis a millym00n. It centers on a girl named Estelle and her grandfather who runs a large town library. Estella fights her life with her environment. But discovering the magical door has changed the trajectory of her life forever.
The collection has a comfortable and soft art style with simple details and focuses on character design and contours. The characters in this Webtoon all have a very unique look and have subtle changes to illustrate their separation. A simple color palette and tone distinguish between day and night scenes. The magical element of mocking might mean another palette will be introduced soon.
As of writing, Ether Veil has only 7 episodes. This is one of the latest series I wrote for Beat’s weird adventures. But it has charm and potential. This story fascinates me. I want to see how Estel will get rid of her current situation and find the magical world in the distance. – Justin Guerrero
Claudine
Writer/Artist: Riyoko Ikeda

Publisher: Qihai
The legendary Riyoko Ikeda’s Claudine is a tragic period drama that was played against scenic France in the early 1900s. The titular character Claudine was assigned a woman at birth, but knew he was a man even when he was a young man. Because the story is told from the perspective of Clauding’s psychiatrist, and various characters who do not fully accept Clauding’s identity, he is called “her” throughout the book. Only one character recognizes Claudin because of who he is. But, this is a tragedy. For everyone.
I have nothing to say about this book except for gushing out. Of course, the dates for some languages were originally published in 1978, but even so, Ikeda cleverly browsed the landscape of trans identity. Claudine is regarded as a man except for its name and pronoun. Several women fell in love with what he knew under the clothes because they fell in love with a person rather than the gender norm.
Unfortunately, heartbreak follows Claudine wherever he goes. Thanks to Ikeda’s incredible art, you will feel every thought and excitement through Claudine. Each page is beautiful and short-lived, just like Clauding himself. The harshness of winter permeates this story. Ikeda also has an impeccable sense of style. Every piece of clothing is incredible.
This is a simple suggestion, but not easy to read. However, it’s worth it. Read as much as possible. – Derrick Crow
