Met Art Music (Met) and Hape Toys have collaborated to develop a new series. Art-inspired educational toys for babies and young children will unite the world’s most famous art institutions with Hape’s passion for early learning.
“We are delighted to work with MET to develop a range of toys that blend our passion for early learning with a collection of one of the world’s most renowned art institutions,” said Peter Handstein, founder and CEO of Hape. “This collaboration represents a natural fit between the high-quality Hape toy world and the grandeur of the Metropolitan Heritage. This is an exciting opportunity to inject learning from an early age with an appreciation of art.”
The series includes puzzles as well as educational and learning toys to promote development. These toys will integrate elements of the Metropolitan Collection, which covers more than 1.5 million artworks worldwide, providing children with immersive theatrical and artistic growth.
“The mission with the Metropolitan Metropolis promotes creativity and learning art, and we are proud to announce a new collaboration with Hape,” said Josh Romm, head of global licensing and partnerships at the Metropolitan Metropolis. “The program will combine Hape’s expertise in early learning toys with the rich story of 5,000 years of art in the Met Collection to inspire the next generation.”
The new series will debut at the end of the year. You can visit Hape Toys at the Toys Fair on Booth 635 from March 1-4. To learn more about Hape Toys and Met, visit toys.hape.com and metmuseum.org.
