Exciting news reveals this next to the series’ third volume release, marking a major milestone and demonstrating its immense popularity. There are only three volumes, and the fact that it has been adapted into an anime can illustrate its impact.
Writer and illustrator Sumiko Arai Shared announcements on social media, writing in English:
“The third volume is going out and the anime is happening. A few years ago, I wouldn’t have imagined a third book in a bookstore, let alone an anime adaptation of the series. The person she is interested in is not a man at all Originally a short story, Sumiko Arai posted on its X account from July to September 2021. Later, it serialized the series on Pixiv Comic in April 2023, and then Kadokawa Shoten shoten picked it up in the printed version.
The series is affectionately known as the “Green Yuri Comics” for its striking green cover and unique green panels, creating a lasting impression on readers. It has been praised for its artwork, characters and fascinating plot developments and has won the next comic award in 2023 in the webcomic category.
The story follows the speech of high school student Aya Oosawa, who is very obsessed with the record store clerks she visits frequently. What she didn’t realize was that the “cool and mysterious guy” she admired was actually a “cool, mysterious, a little shy” girl – Mitsuki Koga, who also happens to be her classmate . To make things even more awkward, Mitsuki sat next to Aya in class, forced to listen to Aya’s obsession with herself, while sweating at Aya’s reaction when she inevitably discovers the truth. As the two people’s shared love for rock music combines, their relationship gradually develops from friendship to something more.
