Blackwater Castle will debut at Next Fest

Castle of Blackwater is a new 2D multiplayer social deduction game that will debut at Next Fest from February 24 to March 3.

The game will be available as a limited-time demo, giving players the first opportunity to experience faction-based games, character abilities and deception-driven mechanics.

Blackwater Castle is inspired by medieval conspiracy to challenge players in ways that deceive, and strategically win.

What is Blackwater Castle?

Blackwater Castle is a multiplayer trick game with gameplay and win twists. Players play a role in a dark medieval castle filled with secrets, betrayals and hidden motives. The game introduces a three-part system, each group has its own unique goals and play style.

The game’s mechanics revolve around day and night cycles, voting rounds and asymmetric characters’ abilities, making each game different from the previous one. Players must rely on observation, deduction and deception to drive ever-changing allegiance and discover hidden threats.

A key element of the game is its ghost mechanic, which allows the eliminated players to continue to influence the game. Ghosts can support their faction in unexpected ways, but instead add another layer of strategy and unpredictability.

What does the game expect from the game?

During Next Fest, players will get their first hands-on experience with Blackwater Castle with a limited demo. The demo will have:
