Lunar New Year Love Story It’s about two holidays: Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day, so these two days are very close to each other. As the calendar places them nearby, so does the book, these two days are crucial to its character and story. Our main character is actually even called Val, and the plot is structured “until the next Valentine’s Day” to find ways to love. As the title suggests, Lunar New Year is at the heart of the love story she finds herself tangled with.
So yes, that’s part of why I wrote this great YA bound graphic novel, about a year after its first publication. Of course, this is Valentine’s Day after all. Another reason I wrote this book is that, in short, it’s a great read. It is Gene Luen And explain Leuyen Pham. Yang really won’t miss it, as the kids in this book say, he especially won’t miss it when he has stories about young people or age or going to school/teaching in school. look American-born Chineseor Dragon hoop, even Superman smashed Crane. These are great books you can continue to add Lunar New Year Love Story To that list; Yang’s other graphic novel works are there.
But of course, it’s not just Yang’s book, as Leuyen Pham joins him here, and Pham’s artwork is perfect for homepage. One of my complaints about many modern graphic novels and comics is that they often choose to open up in some sensational way rather than a sequence that can attract readers and direct them to the expectation in the story. The beginning sequence Lunar New Year Love Story It is a great example of how to do everything, starting with the ticking clock above, and the good window into what she looks like for life, what she fears and what she really wants.
Another thing I found particularly effective in the opening ceremony (I promise, I will discuss other parts of the book too…), which determines that its leaders have a complex relationship with Valentine’s Day. Throughout her life, she loved it. After all, this is her eponymous character, but she is now older and that has changed. Now, she hates it. I think this is the de facto feeling of many people around Valentine’s Day. For most of us, there are good and bad people because of the highs and lows in their romantic lives. It’s related, and I think it will be especially this feeling for teenagers and young adult readers, going through the book at a time when all romance seems important and so epic.
But in the past, this book tells a really great story. I won’t spoil anything here, but the love in the title is more than just a relationship. It’s not a twist. Instead, the protagonist is separated from the reader, which is a puzzle that produces some of the most exciting moments in the book. I want to get into this question and I hope she has a trajectory in class with a boy. Then, the book offered me another love in a way I didn’t expect, and before I knew it, my eyes were a little blurred.
The artwork is excellent, too. Even in ordinary moments, there are wonderful images, detailed backgrounds, and wonderful scenes of various dances (which are an important part of the whole book). Although the role’s performance is strong and distinct, it brings an immersive reading experience.
Overall, as mentioned above, I think Lunar New Year Love Story Very brilliant, it’s a great addition to the growing library of graphic novels that Gene Luen Yang and his collaborators work on.
