This anime is one of my favorites in history. Undeniably healthy and cute. As a working-age person (yes, here are Millennials!), I’m especially grateful for the series around adult professionals.
For those who are not familiar The guy on the ice and his cool female colleague Following Hisuro, the descendant of Yuki Onna (or Snow Woman), he started a new office work. Whenever he becomes emotional or excited, he inadvertently causes a mini blizzard and creates a snowman. Himuro hides a secret obsession with his colleague Fuyutsuki, an ordinary human woman who is completely unaware of her feelings. Along with Himuro, other supernatural offspring work in the office, such as Komori, the descendant of the Fox Spirit, and Katori, Himuro’s childhood friend, who are also descendants of Phoenix.
Season 1 explores Hiruro’s sense of development for Flusuki. Their first day worked together, when she patiently drank tea with him until the ice melted and became a spark of his obsession, which was the beginning of a very healthy office romance.
Himuro is a shy man who likes cats’ flowers decorations, but his excitement makes him freeze anything that touches, including plants and animals. When Fuyutsuki learned of this, she thoughtfully provided him with straw to protect the plants from frost and cat whiskers. Her kindness deepens his feelings and their bond grows as they spend more time together.
It’s a wonderful sweet story about adulthood, friendship and love.
The Crunchyroll package arrives by media mail and is securely packaged. The Blu-ray box fits in its cardboard mail, and the cover design is pleasant. The illustration of the cardboard skateboard is different from the case itself, the pattern itself shows a group of shots. (By the way, the illustrations on the sleeves are my favorite!)
Despite the solid packaging, I was surprised to find a broken piece of plastic inside the Blu-ray box. Thankfully, it won’t affect the disc, and since there is no manual to hold it, that’s not a big problem.
Blu-ray also includes bonus features such as textless versions of promotional videos and opening songs, which is a comprehensive treat.
