Rob Liefeld was amazed at the explosion. Deadpool, co-creator of Cable and Bedrock said he is working with Marvel Comics and revealed the reason for the latest episode of his Robservations Podcast: He claimed he and his family were treated well at Deadpool/Wolverine Premiere. In a subsequent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, he expanded on that fateful night of things:
At the premiere, Lifield learned that he and his family were not invited to the party, something he was used to. He also felt Disney Brass suppressing including Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, who said he approached him on the red carpet but did not admit him.
“It’s for embarrassment, weakening, beating me,” Lefield said in the podcast.
There is also a noticeable slight: Lifield said he was posing for professional photos with creatives on the Deadpool & Wolverine team, but his PR staff later told him the photos had been deleted. He believes they are just seen as polite rather than intended to be used, although other photos appear alone and with his family at the event, part of Disney’s Getty Getty Press portal.
In part of his seventh or eighth career remake, Lifeld has been working for Marvel for some time, including this year’s Deadpool team, which has been called his “The Last Deadpool Story” ”. But at this point, he felt that Miracle didn’t want to work with him. As he said on the podcast: “At some point, you go, ‘I got the message, the message is clear.’”
Although Marvel did not comment directly, insiders told THR reporter Boys’ Kit, “While we respect his contribution, he does not respect others’ contributions.”
This is what we call “burial” in the business and suggests that Lifield’s suspicion is that Marvel no longer wants him, which is probably somehow accurate.
After the story broke, Lifield continued to tweet about the matter.

…. Continuous.
On the one hand, Liefeld can achieve a strong attitude through his “Deadpool I Created” rhetoric, sometimes ignoring co-creators Fabian Nicieza…not to mention that many other Deadpool writers and artists define smart characters in the movie. Gail SimoneThere is a famous character on the role, he wrote on FB that she was treated well on the same premiere (don’t read the reviews).
I feel very strange about this because I absolutely believe that the creators of Deadpool deserve to be treated well with all the respect they have received.
Marvel, on the other hand, treated me well at the same premiere. I mean, they went to great lengths to make it a lovely experience.
I hope this will be solved for everyone.
Also, I didn’t post it to get people to slam creators, I just found the whole thing a little confusing.
Liefeld’s claim on the podcast “Kevin Feige doesn’t treat comic creators well. That’s my personal experience,” some evidence – though not Feige himself.
Ed Brubaker, who wrote the classic Winter Soldier Arc for Captain America and co-created the current version of Bucky, also complained about him at Captain America: Civil War premiere Treatment on another podcast:
Brubaker mentioned rejecting a “Thank you” check in Captain America: Civil War because he found a small amount of insults. To increase the insult of injury, Brubeck obviously had to attend the premiere of the Overflow Theater instead of the main Grand Theater with big stars. Since the basic premise of the Civil War B-plot involves Bucky’s rogue agent who hunts down the Winter Soldiers program was based on his Captain America Comics Run, Brubaker’s indignation is understandable.
Apparently Brubeck and the artist Steve Eptinga team that reinvented Joe Simon and Jack KirbyBucky Barnes as a Winter Soldier, didn’t even invite to Captain America: Winter Soldiers’ movie, party, had to text Sebastian Stan (Actors who play roles in the MCU) join them because Kevin FeigeThe assistant obviously did not put them on the list. Adding salt to the wound is Feige’s assistant is more than happy to get other assistants and bloggers.
Brubeck also famously said he made more money in the Winter Soldier cameo than writing royalties for the character — but his beef is more important than Marvel publications. (Brubaker continues to write for several streaming series and is involved in Amazon’s upcoming series based on criminals created with Sean Philips, so he can do that.)
This is also the exposure of THR four years ago, where comic book creators paid billions of dollars in film franchises with their work, called “closed funds.”
Multiple comic creators have publicly stated that DC’s payments for adaptations are usually higher. Comic creator Jim Starlin publicly pointed out in 2017 that Warner Bros. drax combined. After Starlin announced his dissatisfaction, Disney renegotiated his deal with Thanos, namely Avengers: Infinity War and Gevengers: Diendgame’s Little Man. The movies continue for $4.83 billion worldwide, Starlin happily walked away without sharing details of his deal. “The cliche is the squeaky wheels get Grease,” Starlin told Hollywood Reporter. “These protocols are written in a way that Disney might be more generous if they want to. They wrote there and they could change the terminology to make it better.”
Starlin’s work, some of which date back to his high school laptops, provides a lot of information for MCUs including Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos, hoping he’ll get a decent monetary compensation from Marvel Studios. Starlin also has some outstanding oral performances in Avengers: End, and here is the evidence: While many comic book creators have received cameo appearances in the movie, the words are much rarer to speak, Stan Lee’s side. (This is Chris Claremont watching the X-Men’s lawnmower flight: the last booth.)
Anyway, Liefeld has been a relentless communicator of Deadpool movies. To my somewhat surprised that while Deadpool movies always make jokes in it – as Kit points out, the last scene of Deadpool/Wolverine takes place in front of a store called Liefeld’s only foot – he doesn’t get the Came as a guest. Maybe he is too energetic. Last year at SDCC, he showed a very animated appearance on ComicsBeat’s “Inside Con” show:
This is Liefeld’s passion when he’s around you.
While many would say that Lifeld’s outbreak was his projection of a Donna attitude, he still talked about the truth many times: they drove most of the situation in the film industry even if superhero movies were a little tired. Century, comic creators are not always treated fairly along the way: payment or respect.
When Liefeld left Marvel’s job, he returned to Image, with the April Youngblood Deluxe version released in full, so he was fine, too.
