The University of Rogers cancels a virtual meeting planned, fair, and inclusive (DEI) on January 30.
There are 100 registered participants in the meeting, which will focus on how the registered apprenticeship system has benefited from HBCUS (HBCUS) and their students in history.
Marybeth Gasman, executive director of the Rogers Ethnic Service (CMSI), will be the host.
CMSI has a four -year future work (JFF) and obtained the work (JFF) from the US Department of Labor (DOL).
“In 1/23, in the early morning, we received an email from JFF to inform us that they received ‘stopping work’ from DOL. We have to stop all jobs and issue invoices for the work that are completed through 1/23, and invoices, and we have to issue invoices through 1/23, and invoices, and we have to issue invoices through 1/23, and invoices, and we have to issue invoices that are completed through 1/23. Cancel the meeting “Gas said.
DEI funding problem
Rogers could not use other funds to hold meetings, because except for two group members, all other group members were federal employees, JFF employees or partners.
“Private donations and donors provide funds for our other plans and research. We are conducting all activities, research, etc. We must cancel the HBCU activity because it is funded by the DEI hub of stopping working orders. It was a focus on HBCU, “Gasman said.
Rogers told the participants and participants in an email:
“We were asked to stop all jobs under the auspices of Jobs, the Ministry of Labor’s Ministry of Labor’s funding, fair, inclusive, and accessible centers.”
The work of the Future Annual Summit is scheduled to be held in Ne Orleans from June 10th to 11th. It is unclear whether the summit will continue. Future work does not respond to SKIFT’s comment request.
Critical moment
“Our country is at a critical moment in history,” said Jason Dun Sr. Jason Dunn Sr., chief executive of the Black Conference professionals. “People will have to make a decision based on the organization’s moral compass. The federal funding plan will not be realized. Other methods to propose such plans require critical thinking and courage.”
“This is just the corner of the iceberg. The administrative order will have a huge impact.” Said Rhonda Payne, the founder and chief executive of the consulting company specializing in labor development, learning and incidents, said.
In addition, some customers of Payne are scrubbing a language website related to DEI.
