One of my favorite parts of writing Mr. Waffle was watching these two men grow from bickering rivals to trusted friends. I thought this fun, slightly silly chase sequence would be a great way to kick off the action, as it gets bigger and bigger from here. and the sweet, lovable, forgetful Mr. Waffle. I think anyone who desperately wants their pet to understand them can relate to Reuben on the last page.
