Lore wrote Gray Eyes, Subnormal: Stories of Bullying, and was nominated for several awards, including Best Spanish Writer at the 2019 José Sanchis Grau Awards. Soma This will mark the author’s English-language debut. Meanwhile, Dalmao designed characters for popular video games CLamb’s Ultimate Created and drew his first online comic Sober Lucy.

This sci-fi adventure graphic novel tells the story of a comic book artist named Maya who encounters a problem that many in the art industry may be familiar with: writer’s block. Constantly stressed by looming headlines and suspicious that she’s not doing the job she loves, Maya is in a real crisis. But apparently, the universe decided her life wasn’t hard enough and threw an extraterrestrial alien into the mix, specifically her living room. An alien named Soma has a message for Maya: an alien invasion is coming, and he needs her help to stop it before it’s too late.
Soma Released on February 25, it contains 288 pages and costs $24.99.
