Codeless NFT creation platform NiftyKit has been partially shut down and ceased most operations on January 5, 2025.
The website provides users with a self-service solution that allows them to build, collaborate and launch NFT projects without coding, providing an easy way for creatives to participate in the NFT industry.
While the initial plan was to cease all operations on January 5, due to popular demand, the NiftyKit team decided to “[extend] NiftyKit’s self-service platform, until further notice, supports only the Ethereum mainnet, Arbitrum One, Polygon and Base networks.
What is NiftyKit?
NiftyKit is a popular self-service codeless NFT creation platform with users such as Takashi Murakami, Gucci, and Wallet Guard.
Over the course of its operations, NiftyKit has facilitated more than 5,000 NFT projects and the creation of 4.8 million NFTs, and the platform has generated more than $25,000,000 in revenue for creators.
As part of the partial shutdown, the ability to create new collections on NiftyKit has ceased as of January 5, although the minting website “remains accessible for existing collections.”
The NiftyKit team stated, “For those using the platform, please be assured that we are providing comprehensive support and resources to help you migrate your assets and make this transition as smooth as possible.”
What’s next for NiftyKit?
Although the NiftyKit platform is being phased out, it is believed that the team behind it is launching new products.
The NiftyKit team joked that this was just a temporary farewell and that the closure was motivated by “shifting resources to new products and services,” stating that “the best is yet to come!”
As of this writing, the team remains tight-lipped about its future direction, and despite supportive comments at closing, it’s clear the team has a community invested in them and their product.
