I will do this soon. Luminate updated their chart with the last 7 days of data earlier today (their cutoff is always Thursday at 11:59pm). This means Skeleton Crew episode 4 has been added. And the show did not enter the rankings again.
Skeleton Crew may be the first Star Wars series to never make the Luminate streaming charts (however, since Luminate is still so new, only Acolyte has ever appeared on the Luminate charts). We’ll have to wait and see what Nielsen and they have to say, but if Nielsen shows the same trend (and the show never cracks the Nielsen top 10 streaming charts), “Skeleton Crew” will be the least-watched planet of all time The live-action series was the first to never make it into the top ten most-watched original programs. Even though it is currently the number one show on Disney+.
The 10th-ranked entry on the Luminate chart has 307.3 million minutes. Around this time, The Acolyte was doing very poorly on the Luminate charts, clocking in at 262 million minutes. So in theory, “Skeleton Crew” could certainly have more than “The Acolyte” at this point, as long as it’s less than 307.3 million minutes. But since the Skeleton Crew haven’t performed as well as the Acolytes over the past two weeks, that seems unlikely.
After Kathryn Kennedy burned too many bridges, Lucasfilm is in desperate need of some soul-searching and honest in-depth analysis of the state of Star Wars in 2024. Most likely, the acolytes ended up breaking the camel’s back. Also, maybe don’t try to play Stranger Things in space again, even though it’s fun. Why not make something like Star Wars? What is it famous for? Certainly well executed. This is the crux of nearly every Disney+ Star Wars series.
