Plastic Meatball is releasing a new retro-style action figure from the series’ resident Gnewcaster Gary Gnu. In collaboration with the series’ co-creators, this collectible marks the first-ever officially licensed action figure from the series. By combining nostalgic character with modern toy technology, the figure ensures The great space roller coaster It will never be the same old gnews.
Plastic Meatball even recorded a video of Gary Gnu opening his first action figure, marking the character’s first TV appearance since the show ended in 1986.
Plastic Meatball worked closely with Jim Martin, creator of Gary Gnu and original puppeteer, to create a character that lives up to the legacy of the series. This 3 3/4-inch scale figure includes many of the character’s classic features that Generation Xers know and love, such as his purple suit, “No Gnews” hat and signature goatee. The figure has five points of articulation and even includes retro accessories like Gary Gnu’s hat, microphone and news copy.
The set also features hidden details that viewers never see! Previously, viewers couldn’t read what was in Gary’s files or see the red sneakers he hid under the news desk. However, thanks to the expertise of the series’ co-creators, fans can now get closer to their favorite characters than ever before.
