Tonight, at The Game Awards 2024, we got our first real look at the previously announced game Borderlands 4the next major entry in Gearbox’s hugely popular first-person looter shooter series.
Here’s the first gameplay trailer, showing off the new world, guns, features, and what appears to be a new team of Vault Hunters:
In the new trailer, picking up right where the original trailer left off, we see a massive battle between an army of angry mutants and aliens that look like mannequins , they appear to be led by a strange, ominous bad guy, whose face is hidden in the trailer.
Is this someone we know? New role? Or someone with ties to a previous villain? Maybe Handsome Jack had a brother, a father or a very close friend?
We also saw a ton of new guns and planets in the gameplay trailer montage. At the end, there is a moment where the player uses a holographic grappling hook and is quickly ascended to a higher area within seconds. older Borderlands The game doesn’t have that much mobility, but Borderlands 3 Definitely added coverage and more movement options. The fourth entry in Gearbox’s sci-fi series looks set to add more ways to move around while killing bandits and looting weapons.
Borderlands 4 Previously announced in August. The game is expected to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2025.
