    Grinch expands WildBrain licensing scope, sparking global holiday craze

    Although the green character initially hates the holiday, the Grinch always finds a way to make his presence known during the season. This time, his destination is the Asia-Pacific region (APAC).

    WildBrain CPLG is Expands partnership with Dr. Suess Enterprises to represent brands across Asia Pacific, including How the Grinch Stole Christmas!and Oh, the places you’re going!

    The expansion into Asia Pacific builds on strong UK and European representation.

    “Green is the color of this holiday season and the iconic Grinch continues to steal the show in the UK, Europe and beyond. We see more and more licensees joining in every year, with major retail partners such as Primark launching bigger ‘s cross-category series. As we continue to expand the reach of all beloved Dr. Seuss creations, we’re excited to expand our long-standing relationship to begin bringing new consumer products to fans across the Asia Pacific region.

    This year is the biggest Grinch yet, with UK clothing and lifestyle brands including Kith, Primark, Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Home Bargains.

    In Europe, the Grinch can be found in retailers such as Undiz, Women’s Secret, Pull & Bear, Tezenis and Intimissimi Uomo, Thalia, Inditex’s Lefties brand and LPP’s Sinsay. McDonald’s in the UK, Italy and Canada are all featuring green characters in their Happy Meal toys this season.

    WildBrain CPLG will develop the Dr. Seuss brand in Indonesia, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Singapore.
