Of all the anime launching such a gorgeous and stylized new series in 2024, I don’t want to call aquarion one completely Unpredictable speculation – after all, it has been steadily churning out new episodes every few years since 2005. I don’t think that would be my first guess, though. Or my second one. Or my third. Or my tenth. Still, I welcome it. this reminds me of panties and stockingsCartoon and crisp visuals that look great.
However, I wasn’t too interested in the story. even through aquarion Standard, things are not always explained clearly. The episode opens at the funeral of a high school girl named Sayo who died under mysterious circumstances. But then in the library, while our protagonists (including Sayo’s friends) are talking about her, she shows up. Suddenly, the four of them (yes, including Sayo) are told that they are the only elements who must fight the divine beasts. They were elements that had to be kept top secret, so I’m not sure why it was announced to the whole school. Maybe I blinked and missed something. Still, they fought on the battlefield aquarion– wasn’t there at first, but something caused it to reappear at the end of the episode (to be fair, one final note: I think this beat was intentionally vague. It felt like something that might – hopefully – be Explained in the next episode).
You may be wondering how you need to be familiar with aquarion Yes, because this will be the fourth series. If the first episode is any indication, it’s not necessary. Still, it will both enrich your experience and maybe help explain some of the things that the first episode glossed over. To be fair: this is only the first episode. For example, episode two might explain why so many people are talking about wings. There’s no way of knowing for sure yet, but it gives the impression that the series is expecting a ton of newcomers and is being written with them in mind.
All in all, this premiere was a mixed bag. I’m certainly not the biggest, most focused aquarion It’s popular there, but I don’t necessarily dislike it. That said, I thought the visuals of this episode were great, but the plot was poorly explained and I wasn’t excited about it. That is, fantasy and Mecha Can be combined in cool ways we’ve never seen before aquarion series. So I guess my first hope is Aquarion: The Emotional Myth The thing going forward is that it will tap into more of the fantasy aspect of it all. There might be some cool stuff here, and once this show starts airing I plan on watching at least a few more episodes to see if I can find it.
