People say history is written by the victors. Many times, it is written in blood. Season 2 of Apple TV+’s hit sci-fi series silo has been slowly edging towards rebellion, and the latest episode features a shocking death that will spark the biggest conflict the series has ever seen.
From the first minutes of season two, we knew chaos was coming. We see how a rebellion breaks out in a single silo (Silo 17), leading to people bravely venturing out into the outside world, only to be killed by the poisonous air. Since then, we’ve seen Juliette Nichols (Rebecca Ferguson) walk through the future of Silo 18 that she left behind: bodies scattered outside, and the people inside the silo used to see outside “Lies” and darkness are written on the world’s monitor.
Ever since the people of The Silo witnessed Juliet becoming the first person to successfully make it outside and survive in Season 18, Silo Mayor Bernard Holland (Tim Robbins) has been using everything Strategies that can be utilized to prevent silos from occurring. He arrested people for painting Juliet’s initials on a wall as a sign of respect; he lied to her using new tape his team developed to stop toxic air from entering her clothes; and he hired actors to publicly challenge him , so that he can dismiss their views as nonsense. A day of false promises to appease the people.
What he does in episode four may be both his most despicable deception and his most effective.
What happened to Judge Mary Meadows?

Bernard’s enforcer, Robert Sims (Normal), questions Judge Meadows’ loyalty to the lies, before he attempts to remove her influence over Bernard by getting people to call for her impeachment. While he just wants her to go away, Bernard sees a meaner opportunity to both silence her and distract from the search for the truth about the Silo.
Meadows only agreed to Bernard’s plan in exchange for a suit that would keep her safe when she left the silo, a promise he kept hanging in front of her until the very end. Before handing her the suit, Bernard poisons the food she eats in an attempt to “unite the silos” under the guise of a friendly dinner. How her death will help achieve that goal is unclear until he turns to Knox (Sean McRae) and Shirley (Remy Milner), two leaders of the silent rebellion against Bernard provided an opportunity to see Judge Meadows. When they arrive at her office and see her dead with a knife stuck in her chest, they quickly realize they are being framed as Judge Silo’s killer.
Soon after, Sims instigated a manhunt for the alleged killers, telling the angry mob that the two had killed Meadows for refusing to open the silo airlock and declaring that every Silo member was responsible for finding them . It’s a way to bring people together.
As Juliet attempts to assemble a suit that will allow her to return to Silo 18 and stop a rebellion that is killing its residents, the embers of hatred have been ignited and there may not be much time left to stop the rebellion.
