Every child deserves a toy during the holidays and every parent should give them this.
This season, community toy store Five Little Monkeys plays Santa Claus for hundreds of families in the Bay Area.
The toy store is distributing 350 vouchers to financially disadvantaged families in the community who would otherwise not be able to purchase toys and gifts this year.
Parents, grandparents and caregivers who receive coupons can purchase new toys and gifts for their children valued at $50. Local firefighters will be on site to assist families with shopping and packing.
“For too many families, luxury holiday toys and gifts are out of reach. Since play is a critical part of every child’s development, we decided to make a difference in the best way we know how – for those facing a desolate holiday season. The kids bring joy, says Stephanie Sala.
Families can give their children gifts at Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or any celebration of their choice.
“Every child deserves to have cherished memories during this special time of year, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances,” Sara added.
The big delivery day will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at the Five Little Monkeys Warehouse in Richmond, California.
