If you keep enjoying the rewards dragon age and Veil Guardthere are some cool quality of life changes and bug fixes in the latest patch, which went live on November 21, 2024.
Photo mode update
Photo mode now has filters! And if you’re confused about where your Photo Mode images go, wonder no more: when you take a screenshot, the file path is now displayed in-game, and the file name has been simplified (it now includes a date). You can now bind arrow keys to input maps as well.
Gameplay changes
In terms of gameplay, you can now compare new rings to the ones you currently have equipped any one The slot and Glint options are described a little differently. Some weapons have new icons to help distinguish them, and make it easier to see where your companions’ enchantments are.
For Luke, who was persuaded by the “Mage”, extending the dodge would not be strange. Situations where companions are stuck or in inaccessible places are alleviated. Speaking of fixes, that brings us to the bugs that Patch 3 aims to eliminate.
bug fixes
Various bug fixes are included, not all of which have noticeable or substantial effects. The general focus is on resolving issues encountered during cutscenes, mesh and polygon interactions, as well as some incredibly small balance adjustments to make certain items work as originally intended.
Specifically, Rook doesn’t suddenly change body shape or adopt strange expressions during or after certain cutscenes. Several other cutscene issues have also been addressed, including strange, stretchy cloaks and the clipping of characters’ clothing. The patch also fixes an issue where music would randomly stop playing or play the wrong sound effect or song.
Pop-up issues and camera stuttering have also been resolved, and your preferred HDR settings will now be saved correctly (finally).
Issues involving codexes, skill trees, quests, merchant inventories, quest objectives and cutscenes, exploration, loading autosaves, truly bright visuals, stat buffs, and weapon modifiers have been fixed.
As a small bonus, some character and environment textures have been modified to look better.
There’s a lot to do in Thedas, and with this patch landing, your journey should be smoother. Rook, get back out there and help me test the photo mode.
