Last week, famous rapper Ice Spice joined fort night As part of the Free Fire game’s ongoing Chapter 2 Remix mini-season. If you hire her, she can help by throwing ice grenades at enemies during matches, but she often spams enemies and even harasses and hinders the players she’s supposed to be assisting. So now Epic has stepped in and taken away the digital rapper’s Ice Bomb. We live in a weird world, right?
Ice Spice is the latest rapper to join fort nightof Returning for Chapter 2 Mix Season, which ends later this month. Eminem and Snoop Dogg were previously added this month, and like Ice Spice, you can hire them as your bodyguards/partners if you spot them on the island during the game and defeat them in combat. However, players soon discovered that Ice Spice liked to send cold hand grenades at enemy players, which would explode once an enemy player got close, encasing your feet in ice, causing a lot of frustration.
You can find clips online of the digital rapper freezing the people she’s theoretically supposed to be helping.
When her ice projectiles hit, they freeze your feet and greatly increase your speed, but make it harder for you to control direction. This is useful sometimes, such as when you are chasing someone or trying to escape.
But other times, it’s very unhelpful when you’re trying to hide or stay on a ledge during combat. However, Ice Spice doesn’t care and will throw ice bombs recklessly, as shown in the clip above. This caused players to stop hiring her and complain about all the ice bomb spam online.
On November 18, after several days of Ice Spice pranking people with dozens of icy grenades, Epic announced that it would be stepping in and taking away her icy explosives.
“It’s time to unfreeze! Due to a gameplay issue affecting the use of Ice Spice’s cooldown grenades, we’ve disabled them during the fix,” Epic Games posted on Twitter.
So now it’s safe to recruit Ice Spice fort night. Finally, our long national nightmare is over. Now, Epic needs someone to get Peely his mouth back. (Don’t worry about our favorite fruit-human hybrids, Epic knows and There is a fix coming.)
