So, when it comes down to it, which Pokémon do most people actually bring into battle? Game Freak has revealed the 10 Pokémon that appear in most players’ teams. Some of them aren’t too surprising, like the aforementioned Gyarados and other long-time favorites like Garbite and Lucario. Fletchinder, Pawmi, and Charcadet are more surprising, however, as they are all unevolved members of the evolutionary line and are indeed new Pokémon for this generation. Still, each Pokémon is one of the most caught Pokémon of their respective type, so there’s some expected crossover.
The most interesting names, however, are Meowscarada and Skeledirge, which are the final forms of the starter Pokémon Sprigatito and Fuecoco. This seems to indicate that grass and fire starters are the most popular this generation, as Quaxly (water type starter) doesn’t have any form. crimson and Purpleappears in the list. Annoyingly, Game Freak also included Floragato and Crocolar, two intermediate evolutions of the launch, in the list, which doesn’t tell us much about anything since it just reiterates that people have been using it throughout the game These two starters. I wanted to know which two Pokémon were pushed out of the top ten list, essentially having two Pokémon occupy multiple spots in the rankings. Full list:
