Unlike Tails and Shadows, I don’t think Amy Rose is the kind of character who can launch a sequel’s narrative on her own. She may need to be paired with another character or power in a post-credits scene, but Sonic After being a boys’ club for three movies, movies desperately needed her. Amy is often considered a secondary character to the trio of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, but she’s ultimately a central part of the hero dynamic, and it’s time for her to show up. Paramount has ignored her for so long that I’m not sure how she’ll fit into this storyline, but someone over there needs to figure it out, sooner rather than later.
If they wanted to get really bold, I could see Cream Bunny appearing alongside Amy to make the whole anthropomorphic character more well-rounded. Regardless, I didn’t see her version of events without Amy also present, as the two were considered a couple, much like Sonic and Tails. It’s not my ideal choice, but I can also see Paramount trying to package Amy, Cream, and Rouge as a girl-centric group to call back scrapped Sonic Heroes team That would be the story of the three of them working together. I’d rather Paramount find a way to keep “Rouge” connected to “Shadow” though. anyway, Sonic The movie needs to add Amy and I’m surprised they haven’t already.
