McDonald’s has confirmed a partnership with popular web3 brand Doodles for a massive holiday campaign.
Beginning November 18, more than 100 million limited-edition McCafé cups featuring Doodles’ iconic artwork will be available at participating McDonald’s stores across the United States.
Called “GM Spread Joy,” the event offers customers free digital experiences, exclusive collectibles and new animated content, blending the tradition of the holiday coffee moment with cutting-edge digital interactivity.
Cooperation details
The campaign centers around a limited-edition McCafé cup featuring artwork from Doodles’ original NFT collection, bringing the vibrant design to a national audience.
Customers who purchase drinks from these cups through the McDonald’s app will unlock a digital “pack” containing unique rewards. These rewards include:
- McDonald’s-themed digital wearables
- Pass to watch the Doodles animated series Dulsville and the Doodleverse
- Customize your digital avatar with the free Doodles Stoodio app
The event also launches new original music and animated holiday short films from Doodles Records. This makes it one of McDonald’s largest physical product-based marketing initiatives tied to a digital campaign.
Additionally, the campaign will focus on graffiti in physical spaces, including the iconic McDonald’s Times Square billboard, which will feature graffiti-themed animations throughout the holidays.
What else can we expect from this event?
The event will also offer rare enamel pins, which were originally digital collectibles and can be redeemed for physical versions through the Doodles app. The pins will be available in collectible packs starting November 26th, with shipping options.
For those looking for traditional goodies, the McDonald’s x Doodles collaboration will be available starting December 5th.
Fans are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #goodmornin.
