Web3-based MMORPG Lumiterra will launch its second closed beta test (CBT 2) on November 11, 2024, introducing new game features and wider player access.
This phase will last three weeks and bring a refined progression system, enhanced dungeon challenges, and new modes designed to increase player engagement.
Updated based on feedback from the first CBT, Lumiterra’s developers are focused on balancing gameplay and delivering an expanded experience in a unique open world environment.
What is Lumitra?
Lumiterra is a free-to-play MMORPG that integrates web3 elements into a multiplayer experience focused on survival and crafting.
In an open-world environment, players engage in combat, farming, and crafting, with the option to specialize in various roles such as farming or combat. These roles provide specific gameplay advantages: players focused on combat can gain access to advanced weapons, while players dedicated to farming can unlock production resources and crafting materials.
In addition to gameplay, Lumiterra also includes NFT and RON currencies, building a DeFi-driven economy where players can trade, enhance gear, and receive various in-game benefits.
What’s new in CBT 2?
The upcoming CBT 2 phase brings a number of new and enhanced features to expand the gaming experience:
- Equipment enhancement and lottery system upgrade: Players can now enhance equipment above level 1, allowing for greater progress. The Enhanced Lottery provides participants with the opportunity to win a share of the prize pool funded by Enhancement Fees, encouraging continued upgrades.
- Expanded dungeon system and century trial: The dungeon system now has six difficulty levels, allowing players to earn rewards tied to performance. Centennial Trial introduces a dungeon with nine levels and multiple stages, with a prize pool that resets every 30 minutes, creating regular incentives for participation.
- Escort Slime PvP Mode: This new team activity requires players to work together to protect their slime characters from enemy attacks. Successfully escorting slimes and defeating the opposing team earns you rewards, with unique challenges and rewards associated with different slime types.
CBT 2 can be deposited by players who meet certain criteria in the first test, such as reaching a reputation score of at least 1,000 or making a minimum purchase. In addition, players who hold certain collectibles (including Axies) and players who have completed whitelist challenges through events can join.
