As of now, there are no plans to bring Curtis back as Laurie Strode, but there is a new halloween Project is under development.
Mirimax is developing a Halloween series, which is said to be a “complete reset” of the series. It also promises to launch a cinematic universe spanning film and television.
Explains: “It’s based on the original movie, John Carpenter’s movie, the characters from that movie, and maybe a set of characters that we haven’t really focused on in recent versions of the movie or even in many versions of it.
“This is a complete creative reset, going back to the original film rather than taking away from any recent film adaptations.”
Halloween is one of those horror series that never dies. It will continue to be played with and reinvented and one day, who knows, maybe Curtis will return as Laurie Strode one day.
