Jennifer Lopez stars as the mother of a college wrestler whose path through life is fraught with challenges in the trailer for the biographical sports movie from Amazon.com unstoppable.
William Goldenberg’s fact-based drama opens in select theaters on December 6 and will be available to stream on Prime Video on January 16, 2025. Cannavale, Michael Pena and Don Cheadle.
unstoppable The series centers on Anthony Robles (Jerome), a student-athlete who was born without a right leg and endured abuse growing up with dreams of becoming a successful college wrestler.
“When people look at me, the first thing they see is what I’m missing,” Jerome says in the trailer. “If I win, having a leg won’t be the most important thing to me anymore.”
Lopez then gave an inspiring speech to her son. “You make people believe something,” she said. “When they see you, they don’t see someone who’s lost a leg. They see someone who’s unstoppable.
Goldenberg makes his feature directorial debut from a script written by Eric Championnella, Alex Harris and John Hindman. The film is adapted from the 2012 book Unstoppable: From Loser to Undefeated: How I Became a Championn, co-written by Robles and Austin Murphy.
The film’s producers include Robles, Ben Affleck, David Crockett, Matt Damon, Andy Fraser, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Gary Lewis .
