In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, they stated that they believe the next two Avengers The movie will be “with infinity war and endgame”.
“If we don’t feel like our story has the potential to be on par with Infinity War and Endgame unless there’s a core of a really explosive idea there, then why would we come back?” Joe said.
Hopefully all the Marvel movies before the Avengers movie end up being great, high quality movies and live up to the standards set by many of the movies in the Infinity Saga.
The Russo brothers also reflected on their relationship with Robert Downey Jr.said: “We are all very close. We had been working on another project before Marvel contacted us.
“So, we’re working on another project with Robert — a story that evolved through dialogue, which we’re really excited about. Because it always has to be a story.
As you know, Downey Jr. is returning to the Marvel Universe as the villain Doctor Doom, and it’s going to be a wild ride.
The Russo brothers have previously spoken about returning to Marvel, saying: “You are the best fans in the world and we miss you.
“When we made Avengers: Endgame, we believed this was the end of our road to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We poured all our passion, love and imagination into The Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and then culminating it all in Endgame.
“It was all within a few years. We spent everything we had creatively, we threw all our emotions at the door. But that’s when we started to feel like maybe there was a story that would allow us to find a way A new narrative path. This is why we fell in love with comic books in the first place. This story is Secret Wars.
“We can’t express how excited we are to return to this world and explore such a wonderful and complex character as Victor von Doom. There couldn’t be a better friend or collaborator. [than] great [Robert Downey Jr.].
