On Wednesday, the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Best Cities Alliance announced the winner of the 2024 Incredible Impact Award: the European Association for Childhood Disabilities (EACD). EACD was recognized for its 36th Annual Conference in Bruges, Belgium, and received a $20,000 grant.
The award-winning conference is commended for promoting excellence in research and education on all aspects of childhood disabilities and for raising public awareness of the needs and rights of those with disabilities.
The conference expanded the impact of the EACD+ program for people with childhood disabilities. It features innovative events such as technological experiences showcasing rehabilitation assistive equipment, concerts by disabled and able-bodied children, a sports festival for children with disabilities and educational workshops aimed at expanding knowledge about inclusive sports.

We are proud to share these stories and encourage people around the world to The Association considers the impact of its meetings and how they can help shape a better tomorrow for everyone.
EACD is one of three finalists for the Incredible Impact Grant. The other two are the International Hip Protection Association (ISHA) and the World News Publishers Association (WAN-IFRA). All three associations made their submissions at the ICCA Congress in Abu Dhabi (October 20-23), where delegates and a jury decided on the winner.
BestCities and ICCA previously announced a $5,000 seed funding grant to the International Cartilage Regeneration and Joint Preservation Society (ICRS). The grant will support ICRS’ Global Access Fellowship program, which promotes diversity, equity and inclusion in positive regenerative medicine education programs.
