One of the best gaming deals from Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days event is now available. For just $75, you get a bundle that includes an Xbox Wireless Controller (a $60-$70 value), a Fire TV Stick 4K (a $50 value), and a 1-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate digital coupon (a $17 value) . For $80, you can get the same bundle as the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (a $60 value). This is essentially an Xbox cloud gaming starter pack, as Microsoft added the Xbox app to select Fire TV 4K streaming devices in July.
Amazon doesn’t list an end date for these bundles, so they could disappear at any time. Even if you’re not interested in Xbox cloud gaming, Amazon’s bundle deal is still worth a look. If you want a new Xbox controller and use the Fire Stick, there’s no point in buying them separately at the moment.
There are five controller colors to choose from in the bundle, including the popular Robot White and Shock Blue models, as well as the recently released Clear Blue Sky Cipher Special Edition controller, which is available separately on Amazon for $60 (Original price $70) Now. Overall, you can save up to $62 with the Fire TV Stick 4K bundle. Bundle 4K Max with Sky Cipher and you save $67.

- Xbox Wireless Controller + Fire TV Stick 4K Max + 1-month Game Pass Ultimate – $80
Fire TV Stick 4K vs. 4K Max
If you plan to stream games on your Fire Stick regularly, 4K Max is the better choice. Although the two devices are very similar, 4K Max is faster and generally offers a more stable connection. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E, which might be handy if you already own or upgrade to a Wi-Fi 6 mesh router (such as Amazon’s eero Pro 6E, Google Nest Pro, or TP-Link’s AXE5400).
Xbox Cloud Game Library
Whether you currently have an Xbox or a PC capable of playing today’s AAA games, you can stream those games on your Fire Stick 4K using the Xbox app and a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Fire TV Sticks are the most affordable device to support Xbox cloud gaming.
Xbox Cloud Gaming’s library includes hundreds of games, including the latest titles from the Halo and Forza series. Perhaps most notably, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be added to the Xbox cloud library when it launches on October 25th. This is a good game.
You can check out the full library of Xbox cloud games on the Microsoft Store.
Xbox cloud gaming network speed recommendations
Game streaming performance varies depending on the speed and stability of your network connection. The official recommendation for streaming devices such as game consoles, PCs, and Fire Sticks is only 20Mbps. That number is slightly higher than the benchmark for streaming 4K movies and shows on Netflix (15Mbps). If you have a high-speed internet connection, then there’s a good chance it meets the recommended specifications. That said, if you have multiple devices active on your network at the same time, you’ll need faster speeds. The 20Mbps figure does not take into account other devices and users. Faster connections are especially important for online multiplayer games like Black Ops 6.
If you’re new to the Xbox ecosystem, it’s worth noting that you can also stream games on the Xbox app on your phone with a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. When using a mobile data connection, it is recommended to reduce the speed to 10Mbps. We stream the game reliably over Verizon’s 4G LTE data connection. Some cloud-enabled games integrate touchscreen controllers into the mobile experience, but controllers work better for most games. The Xbox Wireless Controller that comes with this bundle works fine with iOS and Android phones, but you’ll need to pair it with a mobile gaming clip like this one. When you’re on the go, a better option is a dedicated phone controller like the Backbone One, which turns your phone into a handheld device like a Nintendo Switch. For a cheaper option with similar features, check out the GameSir X2 Pro.
