Crayola Studios and Hallmark are celebrating Rainbow Brite’s 40th anniversary by relaunching the pop culture icon with a new feature film and TV series.
In a landmark year for Rainbow Brite, we’re excited to partner with Crayola Studios, CAKE and Original Film to bring this beloved brand to life. It has proven its appeal over the past 40 years and we can’t wait to strengthen our connection with our loyal fans and introduce new generations to the dazzling world of color and imagination.
Producers Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher have produced the following films: fast and Furious and Sonic the Hedgehog Movies, has signed on to produce the Rainbow Brite movie.

Reimagining this iconic brand through the color and creativity lens of Crayola is consistent with our mission to develop joyful and inspiring family entertainment content that helps cultivate lifelong creative minds.
The Rainbow Brite TV series will be produced by CAKE, an independent entertainment company specializing in the children’s industry. The show is set in a magical world that emphasizes friendship, teamwork, and the power of color and optimism to overcome darkness and negativity.
