While Warner Bros. has confirmed that a sequel to the wildly successful Hogwarts Legacy is in the works, and may be a long way off, it seems they’re not done with the first game just yet.
A new report from Insider Gaming claims that Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition is in active development. The report makes no mention of who is developing the game, although previous rumors suggested that some Rocksteady employees had been tasked with working on a “director’s cut” version of the game following the disastrous launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Insider Gaming’s brief report goes on to say that the final version of Hogwarts Legacy will include 10-15 hours of additional content, including story missions, side missions, activities, and costumes.
This new content is also planned to be available as a separate DLC for those who already own the base game. Sources “suggested” to Insider Gaming that a price of $20-$30 is being considered for a 2025 release. Presumably, that price is for the DLC, while the final version could retail for $60 or $70.
So what do you think? Do you want to know more about Hogwarts Legacy, or will this game satisfy your Harry Potter appetite ahead of the sequel?
