The Lego Group has announced plans to train hundreds of Vietnamese factory employees in high-tech production in Jiaxing, China. Employees will learn the skills and knowledge needed to operate at the company’s new factory in southern Vietnam, which is due to open next year.
LEGO employees traveling to Jiaxing will participate in on-the-job training and hands-on learning. They will be trained by employees at the Jiaxing factory and other international factories. Employees from LEGO factories in Billund, Denmark and the Czech Republic also came to China to train employees from Vietnam. Jiaxing employees focus on molding training, while European employees focus on showing their colleagues the details of packaging.
Our team members are our most important asset. I’m very grateful for our close collaboration with other LEGO factories around the world, designing training to provide our colleagues with first-class knowledge of the scale and technology we build on site. This training is critical to ensuring operational readiness and is the foundation for future team success.
This is not the first exchange between factory employees. In August, the Jiaxing factory hosted Vietnamese workers for a week.
The LEGO Vietnam factory will open in the first half of 2025. jobs.
