Episode 14 satisfactorily resolved Nonoa’s insecurities, although I can’t deny that I wish they’d made this conflict last longer.
Remember last week when I said I hoped this would be a recurring theme in Nonoa for a while? Seven days ago, I was so stupid, naive, and such a clown. Yes, folks, Noonoa basically overcame a major friendship hurdle this week and joined the cast by becoming friends with Relisa. I don’t have any major issues with the way it was handled or the resolution itself, but I just can’t help but think they could have had more time to let this thing simmer and really lay the groundwork for Nonoa to be her first friend .
Of course, that’s more my own expectations than anything that underwhelmed this week’s episode. Nonoa and Okumura had a pleasant chat, and then something big happened role play For the photography part, we had a heartfelt summary with Ririsa. Judging by the current numbers, Mikari will be back in action next week in her new project, which is a little preview. I didn’t necessarily find the discussion with Nonoa and Okumura that compelling, but it was useful enough.
The real highlight of this week’s episode was Nonoa’s final scene facing her inner self. Nonoa had to argue with her past self about whether or not to try to be friends with Relisa, which was well done. What stands out the most are the small details: the eyes that cannot see her past self, the difference in color between Nonoa now and the old classroom, the way the green energy starts to rise as her determination increases, and so on. constitutes a meaningful process. As someone who often has to debate misconceptions about my past self, it definitely resonated with me.
