PlayStation is running a sale on PS5 consoles and select first-party games until October 12. Amazon has locked its PS5 hardware and game deals behind Prime memberships — you’ll need to be a member to shop most of Prime Day’s best deals. If you don’t have Prime, you can get console deals at other retailers, including Walmart and Target. At Target, you’ll need to sign up for the retailer’s Circle Rewards program, but it’s free, and Target’s massive Circle Week sale has already begun.
Some of the PS5 game deals are currently only available on Amazon, and we’re already starting to see some games sell out. To make browsing deals easier, we’ve created a custom PS5 Deals Center on Amazon where you can browse all the noteworthy discounts.
$449 (originally $500)
You can save $50 on the PS5 Slim with a disc drive. Since this week’s PlayStation deals include physical versions of some of the best PS5-exclusive games, it’s worth keeping this in mind when choosing between the two models. The console has 1TB of storage space and comes with a DualSense controller. If you want to place your console upright rather than on its side, the PlayStation vertical stand is available for $30.
If you want a second multiplayer controller, you’ve got plenty of colorful options to choose from, including the new Chroma series, available for pre-order on Amazon.
$399 (originally $450)
The PS5 Slim Digital is also on sale for $50 off, bringing the price down to $399. The digital version of PS5 Slim is a bit slimmer Since there is no CD player. To stand the console upright, you’ll also need to add the $30 vertical stand to your cart.
If you decide you want to play physical games in the future, you can purchase the official disc drive accessory for $80. The disc drive is also compatible with the upcoming PS5 Pro, the more powerful 2TB PS5 console released on November 7.
$449 (originally $500)
If you already know you’ll be playing NBA 2K25 on the new console, it would be wise to opt for the PS5 Slim Digital bundle, which includes 2K Sports’ latest basketball simulation game. NBA 2K25 was just released in September, so purchasing the game separately on the PlayStation Store will set you back $70. This bundle essentially saves you $20, bringing the price of NBA 2K25 down to $50.
