Nintendo Switch emulator Ryujinx appears to have ceased development and been taken offline, with its creator allegedly contacted by Nintendo itself.
The news comes on the heels of the high-profile shutdown of another Switch emulator earlier this year, namely Yuzu, which saw Nintendo pursue a full-scale lawsuit and settle with Yuzu’s creators agreeing to a settlement that The basis of the settlement agreement is that the project is no longer one thing.

After users noticed that Ryujinx’s Github and download pages began returning error messages (or, in the latter case, blank text), a message was posted on the emulator’s Discord server from a developer with the handle ripriperi A message that appears to explain the situation has been shared via Ryujinx’s Twitter account.
