As a LEGO collector, July is a big month—and not just because of all the brand’s new releases (though their new pinball machine set is cool). July is also one of two months throughout the year when LEGO tends to retire a significant number of sets. What that means? Once stock is out, these builds are gone for good

I’ve been burned before by waiting too long to purchase a set. (Years later, I’m still kicking myself that I didn’t buy the original Death Star set while it was $400; now that it’s retired, it can cost upwards of $2,000. Learn from my mistakes: If any of these have been on your wish list, get them today before they are gone

Among this summer’s batch of retirees are of my favorites, like the LEGO delivery truck that has a forklift and boxes of mini LEGO sets. And if you’re trying to create a LEGO art gallery, you can build your own Mona Lisa and skip fighting with the crowds at the Louvre

This is also your last chance to get several of the Creator 3-in-1 sets, including this Cute Bunny that can also be built as a llama, or a seal, (or, as some Project Hail Maryfans have discovered, Rocky)

The Harry PotterSorting Hat is one of the more unique sets slated to disappear this month. Before the brand’s new interactive Smart Play existed, this set was the first to have a sound brick that made it talk. For the classic movie lover, theJawsset is one I’d nab now while it’s on sale

While the Pac-Man arcade is an investment as it retails for nearly $300, I could see this set going up substantially in price once it’s retired. Similar retro gaming sets that have already retired, like the Nintendo Entertainment System, are now difficult to find—and when you do see them, they’re often double the original cost

I wouldn’t wait too long to add these LEGO sets to cart, especially if you know it’s something you’ll want to build (or give as a gift) someday. Some sets, like the Gringotts Wizarding Bank from Harry Potter, are already out of stock and unlikely to return—so consider this your final warning to shop before they’re gone for good
